Really nice hostel, great staff always ready to help. The metal beds make too much noise but everything else was ok. Good idea if u want to party every night with the guys from the hostel as guides.

These guys were great. Probably the best hostel I've ever stayed at. Would go back to Budapest just to stay there again.

Got recommended by one of our friends and was not disappointed. One of the best hostels we stayed in during our time away and made our trip to Budapest. Staff are friendly and are always there to help you out with anything you need and the nights out are always heaps of fun! I Cannot recommend Carpe Noctem enough!

The staff are so welcoming and friendly, it felt like we were visiting friends and staying with them for the weekend. Quite laid back atmosphere buy any problems you experience they will be super quick to sort it out, and can be very professional when they need to be!! They point you in the right direction if you're wanting to sight-see and have tickets for the spas etc so you don't have to queue. The nights out they arrange are pretty fun - we went on the bar crawl and open mic night!!!

It's a weird feeling when you first walk in the door, but you'll love it very shortly. The guys and a girls that are the staff are fantastic! This isn't just a hostel, it's a stay at a friends place and an experience at the same time! The staff show you around the best spots and ensure you get the best out of the nightlife! Loved it all. If you can - get to Carpe Noctem. (PS get on the caving tour in Budapest too!) Chris

Depends of what you expect. If you expect parties, drinking, etc, that's your place. But if you are planning a lot of sightseeing, and need a calm place to rest that's maybe not your place. The hostel is kind of noisy, and people keep getting in and out the room every time, so it's hard to sleep. The clealiness need some improvement, as the bathroom, similar to those in bus terminals. The staff is super super great and helpfull, and do everything to help you.

Carpe noctem is the most homey hostel I've stayed at during my euro trip , there aren't too many spaces so you can really get to know the other people staying there. The staff greet you, explain the city, cook, clean, and take you out so it's intimate . The staff were super friendly and always available and helpful, when my friend lost her wallet they offered to send it without asking for money and even helped us afford getting a cab at the end to the airport, I would for sure stay here again!

By far the best hostel over my three week tour of Europe. Everyone including staff and guests are super friendly and welcoming. They have activities every night to really help you get to know people and the city. The staff were always there and knowledgable and felt more like I was staying at a good friend's apartment than a hostel.

Carpe Noctem was the highlight of our entire stay in Prague. The staff were incredibly professional - carrying our suitcases up to the 13th floor, very detailed map readings, constantly offering tea and coffee and keeping the entire hostel immacutely clean. They also gave us some of the most amazing nights out. Every night they took us to meet up with the other hostels and we did eveything from partying in ruins bars to Jager bomb trains. If only they were all as good as Carpe Noctem!

Great, small hostel that made my stay in Budapest even better. The staff are easy to talk to and always willing to help. There are organised events on every night but at the same time, there is no pressure to attend them. An environment set up to meet other people and very reasonably priced. If you aren't into going out and meeting new people, don't book and take the place of someone who wants this!
