very impressive hostel, it feels like your living in a mansion

I don't have any compaints about this hostel. It was clean, it was friendly, laid-back, but also not entirely boring. It's only about 5 blocks from the beach in el rodadero so if you plan on hanging out in that area it's perfect. It's a 15 mil cab ride to Taganga so not too bad. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We had the private room w/out air conditioning but there's enough air through the windows and fans to keep it cool. I would definitely go back.

The staff was really helpful! Really recommendable. We stayed here for 3 and we could easily have stayed here for 5 nights.

Fantastic dorms, really well equipped and spacious, inc with individual lamps, curtains around each bed, and our dorm had individual fans too above each bed. The hostel is in a gorgeous house, with swimming pool. Staff were incredibly helpful, especially Alan. Location is very much out of main Santa Marta, so if you want to be in the centre of town, this wouldn't be a good place for you. When i stayed, other guests weren't as friendly as at other hostels, but maybe that was just bad luck.

The hostel is in a great house, with a swimming pool to boot. The owners and staff are really helpful, friendly and welcoming. It's perfect for a nice respite from long bus journeys! (Only minus was the water pressure, I could barely get the shampoo out of my hair)

Hello J.J. Thanks for letting us know about the problem with the shower. We have now fixed the issue with that bathroom and all showers in the house have very good water pressure. Happy travels.

This was truly one of the nicest hostels I've ever stayed at. The staff is helpful and friendly, and the hostel itself is absolutely beautifully designed. Very peaceful and quiet.

More of a hotel with dorm rooms rather than a pure hostel. The quality is definitely there with big dorm rooms, beds with privacy curtains, big and clean bathrooms, and a big swimming pool. The security door provides a lot of safety and security and I'd happily stay here again.

Amazing Hostel, great location

The staff are warm, welcoming and very helpful, such as information on the surrounding attractions. The hostel was bright and clean and has a lovely outdoor area with BBQ and pool. The beach is just a short walk as are shops and restaurants. It's a quiet, relaxing place to stay and I would definitely stay here again.

Awesome English & Colombian run hostel. The owners Alan & Jessica are really friendly, both have been travelers before so they know how a hostel should be run. Clean, good wifi, dorm beds with a privacy curtain etc... This hostel is perfect for travelers that are looking for some rest and relaxation after the parties of Taganga or Cartagena. I meant to stay 1 day and ended up staying 4! Also the area Rodadero which is in the north of Santa Marta is much safer & nicer than the historical centre.

the best hostel I stayed in in Colombia... if you are looking for a full on party hostel... then this isn't for you... but if you are looking for hotel standards with pool, BBQ, hammocks, nice relaxing tunes on all day, friendly staff then this is for you... the owners are lovely people and treat you as guests... the villa is superb and its close to everything but at the same time its nice and peaceful... 5/5... The house itself is a mansion, it looks great and has plenty of charm, there is lots of space and the pool is definitely a highlight! The dorms have their own bathroom, which were clean and spacious. I also enjoyed that each bed was eqipped with its own curtain, which gave some more privacy to everyone. The owners are very helpful when asked for advice and otherwise. The only downer: You are not allowed to bring/buy your own drinks, you have to buy it from the hostel, which is more expensive!
