Nice, chilled out hostel with staff that speak Spanish and English and are always happy to help you! Nice location outside of Santa Marta but near enough to be able to visit all the cool places in the area like Tayrona and Minca.
So, the place is located in El Roduedero. Apart from a better beach than Santa Marta, there is not much to do around here. The Hostel itself however is beautiful. A really, really nice house, a great swimming pool (not that large, but still great), good chill areas and a great kitchen. Do expect to share the kitchen at dinner time with many other travellers.
Beautiful, beautiful hostel near the Rodadero of Santa Marta. My breath was taken away when we arrived. The pool was gorgeous...every last detail in the dorm rooms was thought of... from individual shelving to privacy curtains! I loved it. I nearly legnthened my stay but I had a very tight schedule to adhere to. Definitely planning on hitting up this place again.
Really nice place that used to be an ex Mafia bosses mansion. Staff were great and owner has good knowledge of local area and what to do. Dorm rooms were good and great design with curtains on each bed.
This Hostel is right on the money! If you want a quite chilled relaxed vibe then this is it! The owner will go far and beyond to make sure your stay is like your at home. The manegers and cleaners are the best i've come across in South America, there always around but never do you notice them as they wont intervene in your space. Questions? they have alll the answers for you. Mind you the hostel its self is beautiful! Pool waiting for you to cool off, BBQ to cook up a storm and mingle. 10/10
Nice pool and house, well equiped kitchen and grill area. Minus: it is forbidden to drink alcohol from outside... maid searched through our bags in the fridge and kidnapped two cans of beer we stored there, to take them to the beach. High sleepers seem to be very unstable, so you feel like being on a boat when the person above you climbs in. Take care: 8 dorm is with AC, 6 dorm has only fans.
Nice place, great rooms for the price (especially the deluxe private suite) but the location is too far from the action for us, it's not in Santa Marta at all.

We stayed in a deluxe private room, which was spacious and the perfect temperature with the air conditioner. Definitely the best value for your money and a very convenient location (5 minutes from the beach, mall and restaurants). The common ares were small, but they had several small areas, so it was never too crowded. The pool was a nice break from the sand and they also had two cute turtles on the premises!
A really beautiful hostel in a very nice area 10 mins out of santa marta. The pool is good along with the new pool bar. The staff are really friendly and want to help you enjoy your stay. And the beds in yhe dorms are one of the best i have come across with a private curtain around the bed, a lamp power socket and fan, perfect for a dorm room.
Not in the main part of Santa Marta, next beach west in a quiet residential neighbourhood. 7-9 min walk from a very nice beach. Alan and Jessica (owners) were very knowledgable of the area (including Taganga and Tayrona NP) and made me feel very welcome. Lockers for valuables are available in the rooms. Bunks have curtains, individual fans (needed in the Carribean), charge point and lights. The pool area is terrific. English and Spanish spoken. A great hostel to chill. Stayed twice!
very impressive hostel, it feels like your living in a mansion
Super Friendly Hostel with a spacious double bed room, definitly a recommendation for everyone who does not want to stay in taganga but in rodadero.
I don't have any compaints about this hostel. It was clean, it was friendly, laid-back, but also not entirely boring. It's only about 5 blocks from the beach in el rodadero so if you plan on hanging out in that area it's perfect. It's a 15 mil cab ride to Taganga so not too bad. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We had the private room w/out air conditioning but there's enough air through the windows and fans to keep it cool. I would definitely go back.
The staff was really helpful! Really recommendable. We stayed here for 3 and we could easily have stayed here for 5 nights.

Fantastic dorms, really well equipped and spacious, inc with individual lamps, curtains around each bed, and our dorm had individual fans too above each bed. The hostel is in a gorgeous house, with swimming pool. Staff were incredibly helpful, especially Alan. Location is very much out of main Santa Marta, so if you want to be in the centre of town, this wouldn't be a good place for you. When i stayed, other guests weren't as friendly as at other hostels, but maybe that was just bad luck.
One of the best hostels I´ve stayed in South America. The location is at Rodadero which is about 10 min away from town center of Santa Marta by bus, however the beach here is more enchanting. The pool and the dorm facilities are great! The owners Alan & Jessica are nice and really helpful! One of the staff misunderstood I had stains on the towel and charged me the cleaning fee, but after Alan knew about the situation he returned my money immediately!
The hostel is in a great house, with a swimming pool to boot. The owners and staff are really helpful, friendly and welcoming. It's perfect for a nice respite from long bus journeys! (Only minus was the water pressure, I could barely get the shampoo out of my hair)

This was truly one of the nicest hostels I've ever stayed at. The staff is helpful and friendly, and the hostel itself is absolutely beautifully designed. Very peaceful and quiet.
More of a hotel with dorm rooms rather than a pure hostel. The quality is definitely there with big dorm rooms, beds with privacy curtains, big and clean bathrooms, and a big swimming pool. The security door provides a lot of safety and security and I'd happily stay here again.
