great hostel and there is nothing overrated on the website regarding the view and the breakfast. Both are amazing:)

Amazing hostel, very homely and with stunning views from the communal areas. Once you have got used to the vans running up and down the hill the location is less of an issue but still can take a while to get about. Great breakfast and very helpful staff.

The location is excellent to view Rio! But the accessibility of the Hostel is poor because it is on a mountain so you have to walk a lot to go to the city and stuff. If you want a quiet place with a beautiful view than this is the hostel you want to go!

Had a copule of problems with items disappearing. If not for this frustration would have been a great stay!

The place is older than I thought when I first arrived. The lounge area has a huge window that is awesome for looking at little monkeys and the view is jungle esq! The dorms and bathroom are older and ok. The private rooms and bathrooms are great I think. The breakfast is the best in Rio! I ate for 43 minutes straight!!! (I'm a budget traveler) The staff is FANTASTIC and really interested in you and welcoming. Stay here for 1-2 nts if you want to visit Santa Teresa- not the beach.

Excellent hostel. Bit out of the way of town, but if you like the tranquility and great views, then this is the place for you! On the way to Christ Do Radeemer too. Takes a bit of finding, even the taxi drivers don't know where it is! If you want the beach and the main town, this is quite a distance away. However, and excellent mini bus service will get you down to the beaches in 10 minutes. Staff so friendly and helpful-they will bend over backwards to help you.

Good place to chill away from madness, accessible via public transport but not always by taxi.

A really nice hostel located in the beautiful Santa Teresa. A bit far from everything else (nothing that a bus, or a train can't fix ha?) specially the beaches. but if you're into a quite lovely place for a few nights this is the place. great breakfast and really charming staff!

Staff here are really generous and helpful, especially kiri!! Hostel dorms are spacious and very clean!! Loved staying here but wish it was a bit closer to the Main Street!

Felt really comfortable there and very much at home with the staff are so friendly and helpful. Was awesome to have such a great view of Rio too!
