I was there with 3 friends and we had one double shared and one double ensuite room. Both rooms were verry clean and big enough to stay there for 5 nights. Also the shared bathrooms were very clean, but there were only three of them for all unsuited rooms. Finaly I can realy recommend this hostel because of it's nice atmosphere, location and the realy kind owner. Tip: Make the winetasting with Victor! He realy knows a lot about wine and especially spanish wines.

Little hostel, well situated with a nice crew :-)

Casa al sur is a lovely small-sized hostel with a very nice atmosphere and where you will definitely want to come back! We stayed in a double room and it was clean and freshly painted, renewed recently and accurately arranged with blue and yellow details. The owners are a friendly young spanish couple, who are really caring about their hostel and their hosts, willing to share laughs and tips about their city. You should have a look to the terrace upstairs: it is beautiful!

The hostel is nice and well located. The beach is close and many musseums in the old town. However, when we arrive at 16 hours the check in was closed till 19 and we had to wait 2 hours for the staff. Also, despite the hostel is nice, the doors were very old and they made lot of noise and you have to pay in cash. If you want to rest i don't recommend this hostel.

Owner Comment (Show)
Hola! We are very sorry that you did not enjoy staying with us. We try to provide the best service we can and to make our guests stay the most comfortable as possible. Casa Al Sur is a place to relax and one of the reasons why most our guests stay with us. Concerning your arrival: Check in is available betweeen 14:00 and 22:00 but requires an advanced time of arrival due to the fact that we are a small hostel. After waiting for you for 3 hours past your anounced arrival time, we decided to step out for a quick lunch that we stopped right after we received your call to check you in. Our payment method is cash, which is clearly stated on Hostelworld.

Very nice, clean and well put together hostel (lots of homely touchs which was nice) Breakfast not included which was a pity and whilst the owners where very nice, they were only manning the desk for a few hours a day, so easy to miss them. Good cooking facilities and free tea and coffee.

Just loved this hostel. Very charming with real character. Private room was really nice and would definately recommend. The hostel runs a wine tasting evening which was fantastic - one of my favourite experiences in the south of Spain.

I've spent only a night on a private room, but i highly recommend this hostel. Staff is nice, helpful and friendly. Location is 5-10 minutes away from bars and restaurant, in a quiet side street. Interior design is cool, with this "white and blue" theme meticulously repeated in every detail. The single thing i didn't like is that every guest have its own set of entrance key. I'd prefer a 24 hrs reception instead: in other hostel i had bad experiences because of that. Overall great experience

Casa Al Sur is a really nice, modern place with a kitchen, fridge and a chill out area. Our room was big enough, comfortable and looked pretty cool. I really enjoyed my stay at this place.

Great place! Good choice of rooms, private ensuite to more affordable shared bunking. 5 minutes to any Site in old town. Nice 15 minute walk to malagueta beach, 10 min. Walk to metro train to airport for 1.70 euro! Takes 12 min. And goes every 20min. Will stay here again on my future 5th trip to Malaga.

My stay was absolutely brilliant. Thanks again for the lovely hospitality. It was refreshing to have such kind helpful people behind the reception desk. From directions, to recommendations, to cooking advice! Very much appreciated.

We really enjoy staying in Casa Al Sur. This hostel was very cozy and calm. U really feel you are in Spain. The best thing was that, really close to city centre and everything you want was close to you. Maby one little thing was that, internet conection in our room was not so good, really slow.. but this wasn't so important for us,because we went heret to see the city. Malaga is so beautiful city,we will be back. Thanks a lot Christina and Victor! :)

Cosiest hostel I've ever stayed at! Very friendly owners, nicely decorated and a very nice terrace. Unfortunately quite cold in the night (stayed there in february) since it's an old house, but we got an extra heating fan as soon as we mentioned the cold, which made it better. Rather nice in the summer nights though, I guess!

An incredibly cute hostel! the atmosphere was very relaxing and quaint. The common areas close relatively early so I would definitely not describe this as a party hostel. It was within walking distance of every attraction worth seeing in Malaga. All in all, it was an amazing hostel experience!
