We had three wonderful days in Sucre and at Casa Al Tronco. Great hospitality! The location is excellent because the house is situated on the top of the city. Its close to mirador cafe with nice food and panorama view over the city. Its a relaxed neighbourhood. Its a short walk from the main square. Only six blocks(the blocks in sucre are short) Great breakfast for 30 bs. Best breakfast in three months. We graded the facilities with good because the wifi was a bit slow. Besides that 100%. Thanks

Don Ebo and Doña Tania gave us a warm welcome and made us feel very comfortable. Casa del Tronco has been the best hostel on our trip so far! The room was very spaceous, the kitchen was well equipped and had a stunning view over Sucre. The breakfast (not included) was delicious and worth every Boliviano. The only remark would be that there was no computer for the hostel guests, but WiFi. We can highly recommend this Hostel!

Some people said it is abit of walk from the central area but it was a good walk looking around beautiful Sucre. It takes about 15 ~ 20 min from the central plaza to this casa and you can pick up good waffle and french bakery from Salon de Te! Breakfast which they sell a separate price is a must-try. Great quality. Wifi in the room is abit weak if u stay on the top floor but otherwise, the beautiful common area is always open, 24 hours.

My boyfriend and I booked for a week here and ended up staying a whole month! We absolutely loved it. So perfectly presented, with everything you could want for. Ebo and Tania are so lovely and welcoming. We stayed in the double room without a bathroom and then the twin room with a bathroom, both were brilliant. I even had my own robe in the double room! Ebo and Tania have taken a lot of care with the details of the guesthouse and it is very apparent that they have thought about everything!

Absolutely the best place we have stayed in South America. Purpose built, fabulous building, light filled rooms. Wonderful views across the city and out onto the hills. Lovely family, Edo will give you all and any information you need about Bolivia, Sucre and the surrounds. Huge breakfasts, great kitchen. Yes it is up a small hill, but that makes for great sunset views!

This hostel is an amazing place! It's familiar and very clean. Every room was carefully decorated. We found the best view of the city, better including than the city's viewpoint! Very romantic. The street is calm and you need just 15 min to arrive the center of the city (the return is a big ascent, maybe a trouble if you aren't so young or have problems with your knees). A lot of information about the country, the city and the hostel is available. Its owner is a german sociologist. Perfect!

We spent Christmas here and besides being home with the family, there couldn't have been a better place to spend the holiday. The owners fixed a beautiful Christmas dinner, candlelit, for all of the guests--it's one we won't forget. The rooms are open, cheery and unique, the location is excellent, Tania and Ebo are awesome hosts, and the kitchen is a delightful place to spend time. If I end up back in Sucre, I can't imagine staying anywhere else.

Staying at Casa al Tronco was a very good experience. We were surprised by the nice treatment we received from the owners, a really nice family. The rooms are good, with a lot of space and the bathroom is clean. We had hot water every day. The view from the balcony (kitchen) is the best you can get from the city of Sucre. It is located a bit away from the city center, but it's a 20 min walk in very calm streets, I actually liked it because we got to see a lot of this nice part of the town.

Al Tronco, while located a short taxi ride from the city center, was the in the perfect location for a relaxing 2 days in Sucre. My girlfriend and I loved our stay at the gorgeous Casa Al Tronco and will be recommending this hostel to anyone passing through Sucre. Amazing views and amazing service, one of the best hostels I have ever stayed in.
