The staff was friendly and helpful. Apart from that, the Hotel was only ok : room and bathroom quite run down. The price is very high compared to what you get. The offer in Cartago is reduced though, and the town is a good base to go to Irazu volcano, and is worth seeing, especially the Basilica Los Angeles. So, go for it for one night, no more, I would say.
