A very basic hostel, but worth the price. The only real problem is noise, both on the street and inside the building.

Casa Azul was my first hostel in Brazil and I feel that I had a great welcome. The place is very cool and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is great. There is a great restaurant on the same street which is a bonus. The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable. The bar downstairs is a great place to meet locals, made some cool friends there. Thank you guys :)

Hostel is in great location and is being cleaned several times during the day. Wifi only available in mail areas. Free towels is a big plus. Didn't get much sleep though because of the extreme heat in the dorms and the fact they turn off airco during the night. Imagine 8 people sweating for hours on just a few square meters.. Not good.

Not much cooking facilities. At night the staff has more attention for the bar guests than the hostel guests.

I loved this hostel... The location is great and the staffs are very helpful. I traveled by myself and I did lots of friends, what was wonderful... Also, great parties!!!

Very well located, nice facilities (although toilets/showers could improve a little bit). There's a bar on the ground floor which gets very crowded, good for those looking for party. Nice and helpful staff. Wifi seemed to work only in the common areas.
