Great place. I think most of its interior was designed and made for it especially. It certainly has character and its name suits the atmosphere: caracol=snail. The worst I could say of it is that you will have to wait a long time to get your fill of the breakfast pancakes, so don't plan a busy morning expecting to have finished breakfast by 11 :)

Sleeping on the roof, on hamako was amazing experience. Staff is quite helpful, they are like a huge family living & working & studying there. I was impressed.

We actually ended up staying in there sister hostel which is a bit more private after they offered it to us on arrival. With a rooftop on both buildings, free breakfast and a cheap dinner to join in on with the rest of the guests it creates a nice atmosphere and the staff are very friendly

The free breakfast is pancakes!! This was the highlight for me! Not boring old toast and cereal that you get at other hostels, so thumbs up for that. I really liked this hostel, it could be a little noisy at times, but that didn't really bother me, I had ear plugs! Great place, I highly recommend it :)

Casa Caracol is one of the best and most atmospheric hostel, I have ever stayed in. You meet interesting people in the nice common area and the rooms are clean and bright. I can highly recommend Casa Caracol for travellers who look for some relaxing days at the Atlantic coast.

felt very safe and comfortable, and it was a great location. very lively hostel; i'd recommend this place to those looking to socialize and meet new people. would not recommend to anyone looking for quiet and relaxation, anyone who expects to go to bed before 1 am, etc. very colorful place, great staff. the breakfasts were a nice touch. worth the visit, especially for the price.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Everyone in the hostel was nice, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the beds were comfy, and there was plenty of common area. Very close to the train station, which was convenient.

Awesome, very friendly. The hammocks on the balcony and home cooked meals were the best.

Great place to stay, full of very relaxed staff and guests, some minor inconveniences such as living area is always being used for some "big event" such as massage, yoga or using a big screen to watch movies.. Which sounds cool but annoying when you want to use the lounge, only to find 1 or 2 people are using the entire space for yoga and massage the whole night, also nobody mentioned or invited me to such things which would have been nice. This place could be better with newer bedding also.

Nice place to stay, good value for money. Only two bathrooms available, on summer it must be a rush.

everything was ok,but i think breakfast is far too late at 10,also then it did not start at ten but almost half hour late.and part of your staff is friendly and helpful but not everyone working there was interested in making you feel being welcome, kind of cool and not very interested attitude.
