I really liked the atmosphere of the hostel, but some points must be said: First of all, it will be good if they have more computers with internet available, there was only one. The breakfast was not so good, there was no bread, only pancakes. I thought it would be better. I'm not asking for a big breakfast, only the basic: coffee, bread, butter, milk, that's all. On the other hand, the staff was really really kind. And the bathroom without ceiling in the last floor was something awesome!!
This was a very chilled, environmentally friendly focused hostel. Unfortunately the kitchen had lots of flies and the water pressure in the shower was very poor (saving water is an aim for them) but otherwise it was a nice hostel with good people.
Best hostel in the South of Spain - Great location in the old town, close to all attractions and beaches, bike rental, breakfast and great dinners. Staff is very helpful and friendly, too. Wish I could have stayed longer!
beautiful hostel, very relaxed atmosphere, great rooftop, cool staff, very open atmosphere. met nice people there and had a great time. wonderful breakfeast with pancakes and good self-made dinners! 100% recommendable!!!
Very funky hostel and loved some of the common areas. The rooms are bright and beds well set up with shelves and points but would prefer for improved security to be able to lock the doors - but you still have lockers for key valuables so still ok. The hostel did some great cook ups for dinner, however if you cant wait until 10pm to eat, then at least the kitchen will be available for you (but this is Spain time). If you are looking for a central hostel in Cadiz (great location) and social.
Great hostel, very chilled and the staff were great. Cheap beer and food every night if you wish or cook yourself. Good wifi. Highly recommend!
Amazing! Loved my stay in Casa Caracol! The Staff is the best! Tks guys!
Had the most relaxing time at casa caracol. the atmosphere is brilliant and very friendly. i heard lots of people arrive here for 2 nights and end up staying for three weeks and am not surprised. the family dinners are good and a nice way to meet people. The location is also excellent, 5 minutes from the beach...if you can tear yourself away from the hammocks on the roof that is!
The breakfast is included, but the truth is that it was impossible to eat some breakfast there. They make pancakes, but really it takes a lot of time. And many people were on line ,waiting pancakes. Under this circumstance it is impossible that every single guest can eat. Besides the kitchen is too small. And two password in the hostel for WiFi are inconvenient. And I think they should improve that every single person takes one pancakes and when they take ,they should step away from there.
I have been to casa caracol on many occasions and the place just continuously improves each time I visit. If you know of a place where everything just *clicks*, then you know what this is like.
Great Hostel on a perfect location, close to the train/bus station and in the center. The crew is nice and helpful. The common room and nice kitchen are a good place to meet people. There is a nice roof terrace with hammocks. Internet connection is good with separate WIFI for each space, and several computers. Best hostel I've been to in Spain!
I can't say enough good things about this place. I planned to stay 1 night and ended up staying 4, I actually may return after Tarifa. The rooftop with hammocks where there is family bbqs and an outdoor shower is amazing. The staff are all such sweet people, who become your friends. The environment is so great to help you slow down and just enjoy everything. The breakfast was delicious muselli and fresh made crepes. I will return to caracol. A great place as a solo traveler.
The hostel has a very laid-back atmosphere and is a great place to meet other solo travellers. The dinners they offer are delicious and cheap. The hostel is centrally located, close to the train station and only a 5-minute walk to the cathedral and other major attractions of the city. The staff are friendly and helpful. The facilities were overall good, there is free Wi-Fi and PCs to use. It would be good if there was an additional bathroom as people often had to queue when the hostel is full.
Best hostel ever!

Extremely helpful staff who were easy to talk to. I particularly appreciated going to another town, coming bak via Cadiz and knowing I had somewhere to go even just to hang out for a few hours before catching my train. Ppl shared their food, I met lots of nice people
Amazing atmosphere, no words to describe it! and best hostel breakfast I´ve seen, ever!
Very nice staff and very nice bathrooms. Liked it that there were reading lights and sockets at every bed and big lockers. Nice common room and good kitchen. Only thing is that there are so many hippies, nothing against that but if you're not like that you feel a bit out of place.
Great location about 2 minutes from the bus and train station. They offer a lot including dinner and walking tours. Don't expect to sleep well though as the common area is loud til the early hours and can be heard from rooms (on the first floor at least). It could also use more bathrooms.
It's a great place to stay, close to the bus station and on quiet location. Wish I would stay longer.
Made you feel at home from the moment you come in the door, made some great friends and ate some delicious food Nothing to fault and my favourite hostel I've been to!
