This is a middle of the road hostel as the rating would imply. The fact that we turned up in Tilcara without any reservation during a holiday and Casa Colores was the only place in town with availability says it all.
A very quiet place to lay your head. The owners are very friendly but contrary to their profile, do not speak English. The hostel is located a bit out of town, 10-15 minutes to the centre.
Nice quiet hostel, felt very homely. Really nice older couple running it, language was a bit of a challenge (contrary to description they didn't speak english) but we had enough spanish to get by and they were very friendly. Dorm room was good, clean beds and effective heater (Tilcara gets cold!), all in all would recommend.
Really nice place to stay if you want to relax for a couple of days after constant travel. The owners are so friendly and welcoming and lay out a great breakfast each morning of toast and dulce de leche! Everything is very clean and well kept and there is also a great kitchen for cooking and good wifi to keep in contact with all those at home! All in all had a really nice stay here and would highly recommend it.
First we wondered, because we had to pass a dark place to get there, but after a While we noticed, why it was a little bit out of town. It's a very quite place to find silence. We enjoyed it a lot.
