Had a private room at Casa Del Sol. It was the cheapest available at the time and worked just fine. Staff seemed uninspired on arrival and the room was dark and musty however.

Nearly perfect place to stay, for the price. Plenty of shared bathrooms with showers (cold water only) so I never had to wait more than a few minutes. The staff is wonderful - son, mother and grandmother who speak varying degrees of English from fluently to not at all. The beds are comfortable and clean. Bring earplugs, as it can be noisy very late - once until 3 am. The free breakfast is simple but filling and accompanied by very weak coffee. I would definitely stay there again.

I wouldn't recommend any one stay here! The hostel is in an OK location for what you pay, however overall the Staff and Atmosphere gives an unfriendly feel. The rooms are Cold and bed linen unclean, the Bathroom are located across an open courtyard and are so filthy they are not worth the walk! Even if your after value for money, give this place a miss!

Good family run hostel, however only one spoke English. Good bikes for hire, ok breakfast and cooking facilities. If you need any advice Eric gives it if you ask. No lockers or door lock in the dorm rooms is an issue. One person lost their laptop while I was there. Recommend for people seeking a chilled hostel

Good hostel, just weird that one of the people working there tries to sell you marihuana. The guy was a little bit weird to say the least...

The hosts were very kind, and even took me to the doctor when I had dengue fever. The only downside is the common area is outside, so this wasn't great as it was cold at night when I was there.

Eric, Lucie and Grandma make a great team! Shared bathrooms were always clean, different breakfast they cooked each morning we were there was delicious and the awesome new bikes they had available for us. Was a relaxing environment with a good vibe.. Plus u had the best taco's in town just around the corner.

it looks very nice, but the staff seems not interested in anything, just sitting the whole day in their chairs, very lazy, bathrooms are definitely not clean

Great hostel. The dorms are nice and big, with ceiling fans. Good breakfast. Very nice outdoor area to meet people. They have big security lockers. The bathroom/toilets were not always very clean though.

we spent 4 days in this hostel, stuff was quite friendly and always helpful. there are bicycles to borrow for free, very handy in Tulum. Everything was clean and tidy..and I really appreciate a very powerfull gas stove which can make You feel like cooking in a big restaurant kitchen. Well done¡
