Great hostel, the host is very friendly and informative! Close to the bus station and 10-15 mins collectivo/taxi ride to the Mayan Ruins and the beach.

Casa Del Sol is a great place to stay in Tulum. It's close to everything and they even have helpful signs to follow from the ADO bus stop to the hostel. The staff and general feel of the place were inviting and relaxing, everyone there was keen for a chat and there was always some great music playing during the day/evening. Highly recommend this hostel. Free water, breakfasts and wifi.

The double room was nice and clean, but was lacking in somewhere to put clothing etc and the fixed fan was ineffective. Despite the best efforts of the staff, who work around the clock, the shared bathrooms became increasingly dirty to disgusting levels as the day progressed. The breakfast was only available at a set time, with it always running 30-40 minutes late. Overall it was extremely poor value for money - $28 per night for a double room with (dirty) shared bathroom is ridiculous!

Hostel is very easy to get to from bus station and close to Main Street. Big rooms. With big comfy beds and fans. Lots of bathrooms, nice and clean. Wifi is good. Kitchen is fine, only issue for me is kitchen is same area as common smoking area. Staff are nice, it's cheap to hire a bicycle for the day to go to the Tulum ruins. Free breakfast is also good. Would stay here again.

Been staying in hostels for years and gotta say this one was weird. When first arrived the stuff didn't even noticed us and we have to be like "hello! Where's the reception?" The chick just pointed at this desk where the guy was, both of them were so out of it. I didn't get discounted the deposit I paid through hostelworld, they said they get charged a fee so I had to pay more, huh? It was pointless explaining since communication was hard with the guy..just not there. Weird place, not re

Staff were uninviting and did not smile at all. Beds were extremely uncomfortable, aswell as pillows. There were no blankets. There was also no hot water so we had cold showers everyday.

Very nice hostel! It's an interesting building, almost feels like a mini-village inside a building :-) Staff is friendly and helpfull, they keep the place absolutely spotless and make a lovely pancake breakfast (included). Location is great too, just of the main road and within walking distance from the bus station. The bike rental is convenient and there are some excellent restaurants / street stalls nearby (the best taqueria EVER: El Sabroso, on the corner of Jupiter Sur and Sol Poniente)

Pretty great hostel for the money. Free breakfast/coffee, water, cheap bike rentals, reliable wifi, nice staff, plenty of bathrooms and showers. 400m from the bus station. Would recommend.

Ok hostel for the price as it included a free breakfast but only between 8am and 9am if your lucky. Bike rental was also cheap at $50 pesos and there is a well equipt kitchen. Hot water was mostly not working for our 4 nights, the rooms are quite dark and there was an issue with one staff member whose actions towards other guests made me feel uncomfortable. However, this only happended on one of the days and after that we didn't see him around.
