Really nice place, Staff were always helpful and nice. The rooms were quiet basic, our roof leaked a little bit during very very heavy rain but it was only a tiny bit. Free bikes are a must as it is a fair ride to the beach. Overall would highly recommend the hostel mainly for the staff.

The hostal worked for our purposes, the only downside was really when we were leaving, and he asked for a tip. At first I thought he was joking, but he was serious so we gave him a few dollars and went on our way, it was just a little bit of a discouraging sign, first time I've ever been asked in a hostal.

This place was pretty dirty, bunk beds were falling apart and actually falling on people during the night,. staff are either stoned or stupid and are not very helpful, bugs in room and cockroaches everywhere. Staff are VERY noisy in the morning and don't care if people are sleeping. If you stay here get use to samba music at 7am. Also the so called "breakfast" is either non exsistent or disgusting!

It was OK to stay here, but the cleanliness needs improvement, as does the computer for guests. We were there during a busy time.

Nice location, easy to reach from the central ADO bus station. Not very convenient thatched roof huts, not water proof, rain leaked through to drop on me by night. Bathroom clean but a couple of cockroaches in there. A hippie atmosphere suitable for those into it, not much my forte. The housekeeper a bit rubber, not easy to have him around when needed. Passports must be given to the housekeeper and returned when leaving, I was not very comfortable about leaving my passport with someone. Tulum is reall

Nice place to stay, quiet at night. The washroom set up was a bit frustrating. The breakfast in the morning was very delicious. Bike rentals and snorkel gear available, and it was pretty easy to get to the beach via biking or collectivo. Nice town.

Had a private room at Casa Del Sol. It was the cheapest available at the time and worked just fine. Staff seemed uninspired on arrival and the room was dark and musty however.

Nearly perfect place to stay, for the price. Plenty of shared bathrooms with showers (cold water only) so I never had to wait more than a few minutes. The staff is wonderful - son, mother and grandmother who speak varying degrees of English from fluently to not at all. The beds are comfortable and clean. Bring earplugs, as it can be noisy very late - once until 3 am. The free breakfast is simple but filling and accompanied by very weak coffee. I would definitely stay there again.

I wouldn't recommend any one stay here! The hostel is in an OK location for what you pay, however overall the Staff and Atmosphere gives an unfriendly feel. The rooms are Cold and bed linen unclean, the Bathroom are located across an open courtyard and are so filthy they are not worth the walk! Even if your after value for money, give this place a miss!

Me and my friend stayed there for 4nights. The host Eric was such a nice guy. Even though we had some hard times speaking in Spanish, he knows English and translated to us. His mother Lucia was such a great mom! She treated us as if we were her daughters. The bikes are not free, yet it is still cheap. It\'s 200peso for deposit and 5peso for the bike. If it were not for the bike, I wouldn\'t been able to go to the beaches or Maya Ruins. I would like to stay there again if I have any chance. It is a lot bette

Good family run hostel, however only one spoke English. Good bikes for hire, ok breakfast and cooking facilities. If you need any advice Eric gives it if you ask. No lockers or door lock in the dorm rooms is an issue. One person lost their laptop while I was there. Recommend for people seeking a chilled hostel
