It was a clean and safe hostel. Staff were not super friendly, so I never felt like I could approach them with questions or things. Location is great, close walk to shops and restaurants in Palermo. Breakfast is decent but not great. Wifi only works at reception which is annoying because you have to sit there in front of the guy.

Staying at Casa Esmeralda was a lot of fun ! It's frequented by a lot of French people, and has a "homey" feel : a big kitchen, "dormitories that feel like back in the days on vacation with the cousins", good gardens in the sun for a chill out. Atmosphere is relaxed, everyone is friendly, and the staff will gladly give you practical and cultural infos.
