My ratings reflect how pissed off I got a few seconds after I arrived there. The owner simply told me she had no beds, and her reaction to my "but I have a reservation. I have paid a 10% deposit", was to repeat that she had no beds. Anyway, ended up going to another hostel, slightly more expensive, and of course I informed hostelworld about my experience with the owner of this place.

I ARRIVED WITH MY FAMILY AND REALLY WE FELT TERRIBLE, WE DIDN´T USE THE SERVICES OF THE HOSTEL, IT LOOKS LIKE A "BAD HOUSE", IT ISN´T CLEAN , THE ROOMS ARE DARK AND THE COLORS OF THEIR WALLS ARE RED, WELL THEY ARE BETTER THAN THE DIRTY WASHROOMS, WITH COURTAINS AS DOORS , THEY ARE ALSO DARK. AS I SAID WE LEFT THE FIRST DAY, , THE LADY WAS NOT SO KIND , SHE DIDN´T KNOW ABOUT OUR ARRIVAL,

Definitely the grossest hostel I have stayed at in the 2 months I have been in SA. To name a few nasty issues, there was blood stains on the sheets, numerous bites from god knows what, and an infestation of flies in the kitchen. The 1st night we were kept up until 6am with blaring music and a party next door, and the staff were nowhere to be found. Toilet paper was nonexistent, as well as the ability to close your window and drown out noise. Be smart, STAY CLEAR!!!
