The hostel is hard to find at first from the directions. It would be much better to give directions from the bottom.of fischer steps as that's the route I used a lot. The owner was great and so helpful with directions and things within the city. The kitchen is well equipped and much better than other kitchens I've used. Make sure to do the tours for tips walking tour (flyer at the hostel) as it's really great.

It´s a really nice hostel. From here many attractions of Valpa and big market. And most of all staffs are really kind and good. Plus cat is really cute. nice, perfect hostel

Everything about this hostel was great. apart from one big factor: the hostel did not feel welcoming at all. Our host struggled to smile once and gave us very little advice on what there is to do in the city. Also, you get charged a half day's rate if you want to use the facilities after you've checked out. Wouldn't stay here if you have a late transport from Valparaiso. This was unfortunate as otherwise everything was fine. The rooms were big, solid breakfasts and decent bathroom facilities.

Very nice and small hostel, therefore not a "party hostel" if you looking for somthing like that. Really good equiped kitchen. Big dorm rooms! Staff is very helpful.

Very affordable hostel, basic breakfast of bread, some fruit, instant coffee, juice. Staff spoke spanish and minor english but enough to figure things out if you are the reverse of them. Only complaint was the room smelled like the floors had just been re-varnished so the window had to always be open and the odor was pretty bad still.

Cute place. Only stayed one night. Lockers were super small, couldn't even fit my small backpack in it. Seemed like a pretty quaint place though.

At night and the first sight the street where the hostel is located seems to be scary. :) but in reality, location is perfect. The girl from hostel was very helpful and nice. She and her friend organized the meeting of people living in the hostel and it was realy kind. The breakfast was special, fresh fruits makes your day happier.. :) next time cassa fisher is the best choice.

I stayed with my friends at casa fisher for a week aroun lolapalosa. It was the most home i felt in all of my 4 months in south america. just grab a beer from the frige if you like girls, was a common thing to hear. They were in no hurry to to take the breakfast of the tables in the morning, fore those who like to sleep late. The owners are so eager to make this a nice place to stay, and it really shines trough! Thank you for everything and good luck! Thank you for

While it was interesting to find (not too difficult), the hostel was in a great location. Taking the ascensor was a fun introduction to Valparaiso! Walking to and from the hostel in either direction gave you an opportunity to see some incredible artwork on the walls. The hostel hostess/owner was very knowledgable and gave great advice and directions. I enjoyed the breakfast (included in the price). Definately worth the adventure of finding the hostel!

Casa Fischer is an awesome place to stay! Good staff (they only speak spanish though so if you don´t speak any at all the barrier could be a bit rough). Centrally located in one of the most beautiful and bohemian towns on earth. Definitely recommended to stay here!

A clean, small and cozy hostel, perfect if you're looking for something more quiet. Beds are very comfortable, rooms seems to have enough space for everyone and the hostel is very safe. The hostel staff is very helpful, they will make everything they can to give you the best trip in Valparaiso. Very good location.
