Casa Fischer Hostal Reviews

This hostel was really comfortable and quiet - it feels like staying in someone's home. My only complaint is that it was quite difficult to find - it's down a tiny alley and there are no identifying features (e.g. house number or a sign) to help you find the right place. I walked past 2 or 3 times before I figured it out!

Great location and very helpful staff. Quaint place with not many rooms. The only complaint I can think of was the squeaky bathroom door that woke me up a few times.

Loved this place, it felt like a house share. Really easy to find with instructions. Wi-fi works awesome. It's quiet but exactly what I needed.

I had a wonderful stay at this place. It´s just a stroll from PLaza Sotomayor, the port and the bohemic areas of the city... The hostel was quite empty, so we had VIP treatment all through our stay! Paula, the owner, is a sweetheart, and though she was ill during my stay, she was always making sure that we visited the best spots of the city. Highly recommended!

Very nice little hostel in a convenient location, close enough to the centre but the hills are right on your doorstep! The dorms are a bit rammed and there's not too much space, but they're clean and the beds are comfy, also everyone get's a locker. The bathrooms are not the cleanest, but ok. The kitchen is very well equipped, with loads of spices and everything you'd need. The staff doesn't really speak English and there is no 24h reception. But all in all a very nice litte place to meet others

The hostel was fine. You can hear everything in the rooms, but luckely it was quiet. On the other hand there were also only boring people, just bad luck probably. The location is nice, around restaurants and close to the 'center'. Breakfast is bread with jam and some banana and apple pices, but ok for backpack places.

Really liked this hostel. It is run like a home, staff ae lovely and would do anything to help you. Breckfast are lovely and everyone sits around a big table. Fesh juices are made in the morning. Location is good its close to the main are without being noisy. Overall one of my favourites so far.

Excellent ! Awesome people, very helpful, the house is amazing, in conception wich is one of the most beautiful place in Valparaiso !! You must try this hostel ! Surely the cheaper place with an excellent breakfast included !! A-W-E-S-O-M-E !

Excellent hostel. Dorm beds are widest I've slept in. Great staff. Very good breakfast. If you have the chance to eat dinner with them, I recommend it. Great location, though a bit hard to find the first time. The cat likes to play fetch.

not enough bathrooms facilities small living room

I had an awesome time at Casa de Fischer. The hostel is beautiful (a quaint colorful house in a great location in the center) and really clean (the owners clean it everyday), plus not too big (i think 3 or 4 rooms in total). The staff is super friendly and were happy to talk about whatever or help me with what i needed. and even one night the owner made us dinner. Visit this hostel!

I had a great time at this hostel. I thought it was clean, the owner was sweet, and the location was great. I will definitely be coming back!

Excellent hostel. Cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Very clean. Perfect location. I will remember going to bed and waking up in the morning with a wonderful seagull "soundtrack".

Very helpfull stuff, nicely painted rooms and overall good atmosphere. the staff is especially really helpful when it comes to helping with unforeseen problems, very nice!

very friendly and helping staff. the place is located on the beautiful cerro concepcion where you just open the door of the hostel and before you you´ll see so many beutiful grafitis work of arts as well as the whole cerro. you have a lot of very nice restaurants and some small minimarkets, however the main big supermarket is located prety far from the hostel. it is quite hard to find the location of the hostel, but that is part of the charm of the hills in valparaiso :D
