Nice apartment, but as it is located on a Piazza having a church nearby, we could hardly sleep as the bells were ringing every hour day and night. Also: MAKE SURE YOU RECEIVE A RECEIPT FROM THE STAFF, as we had to repeatedly ask for it, still didn't receive a formal one, only written confirmation regarding the payment!
Well equiped, comfortable and spacious private appartment to rent. The landlord Salvo is a friendly man who can provide good advices about Palermo (for instance, where to eat - he sent us to a great tratoria where we were more than happy to have a dinner!). The location is both in the centre and close to the port, so in the vicinity you have a beautiful park at the sea and also many palaces and churches. The neighborhood is poor and looks a bit dangerous, but the building is very well secured.
Apartment was clean and tidy...Could do with updating slightly maybe and some new pots/pan and kitchen utensils....We did expect there to be a reception within the apartment block because of photos we had seen on their website but you are pretty much left to yourself once you pay....We were told a few places we could do a food shop in the nearby area which helped. A nice stay in Palermo overall.
The atmosphere from the local street vendors right at your doorstep it's fantastic. The water just a short walk away. Everything you need a just around the next corner. Loved our stay here.... people all so friendly...
Apartment was clean and location was close to train station and old city.
