I loved the authentic Mexican charm of Casa González, the great service, and excellent food in the comedor. I also appreciated the modern conveniences like the computers in the lobby and wifi. This place is for the traveler who really wants to feel like s/he is in Mexico, not at a resort or business hotel. Loved it!

Only glitch was that we had confirmed booking for 5 nights and the hotel had us down for 4 nights. We had to change rooms on our last day to a noisier room.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and the garden was pleasant.

There was nothing noticeably bad about It (other than the rock hard bed which made sleeping through the night impossible), but there was also nothing remarkably good about it either. We barely saw the staff, although our room was kept clean. We were told that breakfast wasn't included in the price of our room, despite it being advertised as such. The location wasn't terrible, but it's not close to anything great - mostly chain restaurants w/in a 15m walk. Overall, I'd give it a "meh."

Delightful place to stay. Reasonably central, but on a quiet street. Staff are friendly and helpful, the continental breakfast is very nice (and the full breakfast, for which you have to pay a modest price) is even better. The area and the property itself feel very safe. I've been to much more expensive places that didn't provide anywhere near as good an experience. We've already made a reservation for our next visit to Mexico City.

It's a nice hostel. However, the price they charged us was superior than that displayed on internet. The staff told us it was because of the taxes. However, in Mexico all prices are supposed to be final (they always include taxes), and the other hostels in which we stayed charged only what they told us they were going to charge us. I consider this a pretty good and nice hotel.

Delicious food. Tranquil gardens. Bed was very hard though.

Good location, close to Paseo de la Reforma and the Museum of Anthropology, Rufino Tamayo, the Castle and Woods and gardens of Chapultepec as well as the beautiful Angel of Independence statue. Also close to nice eating places in Zona Rosa. It was very quiet and peaceful.
