This is a good option. My room was good and there are good facilities - small pool, separate tv room, pool table, etc. You will have to look for them yourself because the staff has no interest in sharing information (some guests found out about the pool from a neighbor on the bus!). They answer questions if asked but otherwise tell you absolutely nothing. It is actually a source of comedy among the guests. Also, it's a party scene & party neighborhood so noise on weekend nights is pretty high.

I've had a lovely stay at Casa Kiwi. The staff was great, the room was clean, and the hostel is located a lovely area of Medellin. I particularly enjoyed the areas with chairs and hammocks where one could just rest or relax. My favourite was the top floor terrace, where you could just sit back, relax with a cold beer, and admire the view of the city and the mountains around it. I would definetly reccommend the hostel.

Hostel had really cool common areas and an awesome terrace. However, they stuck up the back of the first floor in a room full of mould where part of the roof was rotting away. It smelled like damp clothes inside and was sickening after a while. The staff played deafening music the entire day and obviously didnt care about the guests at all. We were met with a cold and indifferent greeting. They obviously only care about socialsing amongst themselves! it was a nice hostel, but the staff ruined it

The Casa Kiwi Hostal has character. It is situated in one of the best neighborhoods in Medellín. A supermarket is near by as well as a lot of restaurants, bars and nightclubs. I really enjoyed my stay there. I have to say that the staff was not real friendly. Every asked question seemed to be one too much and I did not find them very helpful.

One of the nicest hostels I have ever seen. It is pretty far from the center of the city, where you might do most sightseeing, but close to a lot of the better bars and restaurants in Medellín. Recommended for those who are looking to party, but it is a little active for those who just want to take it easy.

The house is nice, but there are missing many facilities in the bathroom, the light sistem is poor. In addition in my shower was a leeking so I had every time I took a shower an inundation. Finally the door was only to open with lots of force. When I came I broke immediately the key and I was promised the problem would be worket out the next day, what didn't happen. In the hotel are staying a lot of dislikable american young men, what makes the atmosphere quite disagreable.

Casa Kiwi is a beautiful hostel, very modern, clean and a great place to stay if you are looking for that. Unfortunately one of the dorms really sucks compared to the other beautiful, smaller and quieter ones (no air circulation, not much light, old sheets and pillows and pretty smelly...). That being said, the newer dorms upstairs are really nice and much more cozy. The terrace is really beautiful. The really loud music until very late bugged me on weeknights, but at least the tunes were good!

Its was way too much of a hippy hostel for my taste. they played indian plingplongplingmusic all day, and at night they had the worst excuse for a raggea band if i ever saw one. You have to be smoking all day to appreciate this hostel. Sorry. Oh, and their ¨rooftop pool¨ is 1by4meters and their is 6inches of water in it... Hoax!! was it all bad then? no, the hostel was clean -way cleaner than its inhabitants anyway- and the showers were hot: Still left after one day tho. sorry.

The best option in medellin! This hostel is so nice as in the photos, and although the dorms are a bit narrow, they are confortable. The common area are great, and the location is the best, in a calm and beautiful street, very close to bars and restaurants. You have to walk around 20-25 minutes until the metro, but it´s a nice and safe way. Staff was nice. t. Guests seem to be more selected that in others hostels, older that the usual group of drunk teenagers.

Loved the staff, especially Bela -- very warm and helpful! Roof top pool and view very cool. Sometimes a band in the common area. They did their best and accomodated us for a couple unscheduled nights. I looked at other hostels but would happily return here!

The staff was very unwelcoming. I usually get along very well at hostels but for some reason everybody was super uninviting. I said hello to three different groups of people without one response. After that they could all kiss my ass. Usually when you say hi to someone they respond in some way shape or form. The place was fairly clean and seemed to be a pothead paradise. If that is how you roll then this would be the perfect place for you.

Hands down - The best hostel I've stayed in South America. Seen 5 hostels in Medellin - Casa Kiwi is by far the best. Awesome design, great "chillout" spots, rooftop pool, seems to draw a really cool mixed crowd. Perfectly Located next to Zona Rosa / Parque Lleiras - Good bar, good music, great staff. Multiple washrooms, working PCs, clean - I honestly have not one negative thing to say about Casa Kiwi. Overall this place was awesome. BOOK IT. don't bother looking for another hostel in Medellin
