A very nice hostel with lots of charm, a very nice terrace and an excellent breakfast. We stayed in the twin room with shared bathroom. The room was nice and clean. The drawback of this room is that it is divided to the other room with only a closed door. So you can really hear everything from the other room, we even heard them handling their zip or the rustling of their plastic bag (not to mention all of what they said). In the shower on the upper level there was hardly any warm water.

The owners seem to have the house keeper running the place. She is a lovely lady but don't expect any English here.

Steps... Take in mind you have to carry your luggage because there is a stairs between the street and the hostal... But we can reach by foot almost all sights.

The staff was not around when we arrived so we had to leave for a few hours and then come back. They seemed to never be around and other guests had the same experience.

Great location in the middle of the Cerro Alegre, a very nice area. The room was quite big and nice. The small garden is nice as well. The only negative point is that there was almost no welcome, and that is difficult to find the staff if you need any information or advice.

The hostel is located at the top of a gigantic hill on a street that doesn't exist. You follow the street to the end and it's still another 60 to 75' on up a cobble stone path (not even a street). There was renovations going on but it didn't effect our stay. The assistance of the people was great... The breakfast was a little short... Couldn't pay w/ credit card... Finally paid with dollars and had a hard time doing this... When we left and a taxi was called, the taxi couldn't get to the hotel
