This hostel is located a short walk from downtown and really close to popular bars, nightclubs, restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and the beach is just a few minutes away.
At Casa Mawenco you can find everything you need, we offer comfortable beds, nice and clean bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and of course the opportunity to meet travelers from all around the world.
Although our wholesome breakfast is not included in the price of your stay, Our kitchen will always delight you with an organic/homemade vegetarian spread for breakfast, lunch and dinner at the cost of a few extra pesos.
Casa Mawenco is located on the shore of the Llanquihue Lake, one of the largest natural lakes in South America where the perfect cone of Osorno Volcano and the Andes Mountain are clearly visible from the lakefront.
The city is well known for its German traditions, its food, its fish and seafood, the natural environment, its casino, great nightlife and its outdoor activities. There is also a route that connects to a border crossing into the town of Bariloche in Argentina.

The staff are never around and completely disinterested. When they are around they act like they are above helping you! We almost had to leave the money on the pillow because there was nobody around at 8am to pay the bill - good thing we're honest! The two doubles on the top floor are the same price despite the fact that one of them (ours) is dingy and the other nice. The hostel is FREEZING, too. Do something about your staff, Casa Mawenco!
