Staff were helpful and breakfast was excellent. 8 bed dorm is pretty cramped but lockers for bags are quite good. Not sure if we hit it at a bad time but there was nothing going on, no one around the common area, at reception etc. Great WiFi

Great hostel in the old town of Cartagena. walking distance to the supermarket, restaurants and all the old city attractions. The hostel owner is really enthusiastic and helpful. The hostel is pretty quiet so don't expect any parties or lively atmosphere.

Nice aircon for the hot weather, although it gets a bit too cold at night... They have curtain on every bed which is good for privacy. The owner Juan is very nice, very funny and helpful. But there were a couple who were also the staff, sharing the same room with us, sleeping in the same bed and made some disturbing noise. Other than that is fine.

It is a really nice hostel and we liked to stay there. There is a small kitchen, never cooked there. 8-bed dorm was really nice with curtains and a light. Some of them didn't work but they were fixing the hostel ... maybe there's one in my bed ;-) What was really annoying was the staff (not the owner). They hanged around all day long, occupied TV, didn't greet and that pissed me off. By the way the room (8-bed dorm) had AC and it got really cold one night, so better bring a pullover or so.

Great service, good location and comfortable sleep. The only concern I had was the shower, which isn't very private (there are decorative holes in the wall, through which others in the hostel may watch you if they chose) and isn't very organized (there is no place to put your clean clothes or bath products save for one broken hook). Otherwise, it's a great place to stay.

Nice hostel, was quiet during my 3 day stay. Good sturdy beds with large lockers at the head of the bed which I personally liked. Beds also had a curtain which gave your own space. Air conditioning was a welcome luxury in the heat of Cartagena. Overall good stay!

A few things happened that we're out of their control, the city turned off the water and electricity on 2 separate occasions. The staff felt bad but there was nothing they could do. There was enough water trickling out to fill buckets....that worked just fine considering its hot &humid. Staff were always visible and we felt safe and taken care of if we had questions. Great location, near everything but not too loud from bars. We appreciated the lockers inside each bed area with its own outlet.:)

The guy at the reception desk was very helpfull and friendly. Location would be great to explore the city. But...the hostal is far away from what is shown in Hostelworld! Fotos of the dorm counts only for the 8 bed dorm, kitchen is not clean, commmon areas are not inviting to spend time here at all. Too expensive and very disappointing on first sight...so we packed our things without staying here.

Casa Nativa is very well located and counts with very dedicated professionals. The structure gives you room with air-conditioned (essentials in Cartagena) and beds surrounded by curtains, what give you a rare hostel privacy. The brackfast its very well prepared (scrambled eggs, brad, butter, jam, fruits and Colombian coffee) and its often frequented by nice people from all over the world).

This hostel has a great dorm, with curtains in each bed to give you privacy. There's breakfast included, very complete and tasty, prepared in the hour for you. The owner, Juan Carlos, is super friendly and will do all he can to help you enjoy Cartagena to its most. He gave us very useful and detailed info on how to get to Playa Blanca and also points of interest in old Cartagena. The hostel location is also very good, away from all the noise but central enough to walk to where all the action is.

Very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Mario in the front desk was super sweet and helpful. The owner super cool and very tentive to your needs. The hostel is situated in san diego which is very well located and walking minutes to everything you need to see. I do recomend this place if you go to cartagena :)

Great staff! Christopher was especially engaging and helpful. Breakfast was the best of very healthy food cooked and presented to visitors.
