Directions to Casa Ruffino

Balestrate is within easy reach of Palermo's airport (Falcone Borsellino Airport, 20 km), and Trapani's airport (Birgi, 35 km). Both airports have car rentals available.

Both Trapani and Palermo have a harbour where you can arrive by boat, with your car, from Naples or Civita Vecchia (outside of Rome) or Genoa.

To arrive at the Casa Ruffino from the harbours and airports, take the A29 highway to the Balestrate exit. From the exit, simply follow the many signs, which will lead you directly to our Bed & Breakfast.

You may also arrive by train from Trapani or Palermo. The Balestrate railway station is in the town centre and is located just 400 meters (a five minute walk) from our Bed & Breakfast. From the Central Station or from the airport in Palermo, take the train for Trapani (and from Trapani, take the train to Palermo C.Le). You may have to change trains at Piraineto, so ask the conductor. The cost is about 5 to 8 euros, and the train ride offers lovely views of the Sicilian countryside and the sea.

Balestrate has very beautiful sand beaches, with pine woods nearby, just a short walk from the Casa. Also nearby are shops, bars and restaurants where you can eat typical Sicilian dishes.
