Casa Sweety Reviews

We had a great stay in this hotel. The staff was very helpfull and they speak English very well. The breakfast was very good as well and every day was totally different! We enjoyed swimming in the small pool as well, since Cartagena is very hot! The staff told us we could switch rooms, since our room had a few little inconveniences. We switched and did not have to pay more. These are the reasons we booked for two more nights!

Stayed 2 nights at Casa Sweety at the end of our 17 day Colombian vacation. Cartagena is an expensive city for accommodations and at 60,000$, this is the most we paid anywhere in Colombia. Sweety has really good breakfasts... changes daily and made fresh. The location is great - about 10 mins walk from the old city and right in the Zona Rosa. The room is VERY basic and has absolutely no character. On the plus, it has cable TV, good bed, and private washroom. NOT a party/social hostel @ all.

The rooms we stayed in were the basic mezzanine rooms. They did not have a window, but were fully air conditioned, and to be honest, when staying in Cartagena one only wants to sleep in the hotel as the city is too beautiful to stay in. We were really happy with our rooms, and the people who work there were absolutely brilliant, super helpful and really friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them. If you want the perks of a nice hotel, with the price of a hostel, then rent these rooms here.

This hotel/hostel has two types of rooms- nice boutique hotel rooms which are clean and modern...and very sparse small hostel type private rooms. You pay for the difference and both have air conditioning, but the hotel rooms are much much nicer. Something to consider. Otherwise, the hotel is very well situated in getsmani which is a close walk to the walled city. Also near to the large fort and the harbor. The breakfast was amazing and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly.

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Sweety. The staff was wonderful and our room was always immaculately cleaned. The breakfasts were really good and the common room was great for chatting with other travellers.

We spent 3 days in Casa Sweety and it was a very good experience. This hostel is located in the neighborhood Getsemaní, a short walk or a short taxi ride to the old city and all its touristic attractions. What we best liked about Casa Sweety was its staff. The 4 people we had contact with were excellent. Always willing to attend our requirements and always with a big smile. We received an "upgrade" for one night to one of the nicest rooms from the hostel, and it was very kind from them. Go!

Amazing bedroom with everything you need, great and helpful staff, great breakfast amd well located in a few minutes from the old town... nothing to complain
