Compared with a Hostel a little more expensive but the breakfast was really good - fresh fruit salad and tortillas. Delicious. Staff were friendly, especially one lady when I arrived.

Gotta say, we didn't love this place. The location was perfect, the breakfasts were decent (great juice), the staff was friendly (and a few spoke good English) and the pool area was cute, but otherwise it wasn't great. We were in the junior standard room. It was right by the street with no window but very thin walls, so it was LOUD. The AC, however, was louder! The room was dark and felt very dungeon-like. If you stay here, make sure to stay in one of the rooms by the pool.

We checked in and then checked straight out. The rooms by the pool looked really nice, but we were given one of the upstairs rooms, where the walk up the rickety staircase was pretty dodgy, and the room was dark dingy and smelt of damp. If you do stay, try and insist on one of the rooms by the pool. Having said that, the staff we very friendly and totally understanding when we told them we wouldn't be staying.

Nice guesthouse

The best things about the hostel were the location (a 5 minutes walk to the walled city and to the dock), the swimming pool (it was always clean and the water was at a nice temperature), the breakfast (fruit salad, toasts, omelette or pancakes, etc). However there were also some bad stuff. For example, the air conditioning remote was broken and It stayed broken for the whole week I spent there so the room would be an oven or a freezer, TV broken. They didnt even have warm water in the shower.

The hotel is in a great location walking distance to the walled city. The lobby can get a bit stuffy but they do put fans out. The breakfast is simple but tasty especially the fruit. The staff is nice but has limited information on the area. The rooms are large and the air conditioning works great, the bathrooms are simple but are spacious also. Id definitely recommend this hotel to anyone from couples to business people. The knocking to enter the hotel can get a bit annoying though.

Fantastic spot, close to everything.

I was very happy with Casa Sweety. Gorgeous room upstairs with high wooden ceilings, lots of space. They could use a new mattress, it kind of sinks in the middle. Great aircon (much needed in Cartagena), unbeatable location, nice little pool, delicious breakfast (and free!). They advertised free called home to the US which was really important for me, but when I arrived it wasn't available. And I was told to book online to get a cheaper price but this turned out to be false as well.

Great little hotel, we had huge suite, very clean, pool at our doorstep, amazing breakfast!! No complaints at all. Highly recommend if you can get it at a good rate, usually during off season. May be slightly overpriced during high season.

Lovely place to stay, staff were wonderful, had a nice little pool and the breakfast was amazing! They even gave us a free upgrade to a room by the pool instead of been right next to the pool table. Only downsides were that there was no luggage storage as such and the day we were checking out there was a huge storm... There were a couple of leaks in the roof right above the bed and the pool was overflowing and seeping under the doors to our room, so some of our stuff on the floor got wet.

Lovely boutique hostel in a fantastic location in Cartegena - a short walk from the old town, and close to lots of great bars, cafes and street food. The building is beautiful and pool a nice treat after a day walking around. We were in the cheapest room (the one with no windows, which some people have complained about)... it was small but absolutely fine, the AC worked great and it had high ceilings. The bathroom was huge! Wifi was good and the breakfast delicious.

Casa Sweety's staff is very friendly, and helpful. They answered to all our questions and their recommendations were great. The breakfast is AMAZING! They have fruit, coffee, one main dish, and freshly made juice. Both main dishes and fruit juice change daily. However, the cleanliness could be improved, and the furniture looks old and fragile.
