This hostel is a very nice one, BUT there is no breakfast (you have to pay an extra), and there are some weird rules : you cannot do your own laundry, if you want to stay in the hostel after the checkout you have to pay half a day, they don't put the radiator during the night and you have to pay if you want one (it was really cold when I was there), if you want to change a book you have to pay etc...this hostel could be the best one in valpo if they were not all these rules that make you pay!

The stay was awesome. Place was everything I hoped for and more.

The place was very cold. No heating in the rooms, 3000peso extra if you want it. The cleaning lady kept opening the windows all day as well. They also have a bunch of stupid rules, like if you want to stay during the day efter check-out, they will charge you for it. Otherwise a clean place, nice building.

The hostel looks really nice inside and the location is quite good. But there were thieves while we were there. Hostel has a back door that all the guests use. But you need to lock the door, it doesn't automatically lock. Thieves came in from the unlocked back door and stole things from dorm room.

A real nice place to stay there. But the security is really bad there. The problem of that hostel is that it has 3 doors and 2 of them are not in the sight of the staff/reception). On my stay in this hostel the whole ground floor (was lucky cause i had a solo room upstairs near the reception) got room raided. They stole a full backpack, cameras, a smaller bag and some money from different rooms. So be careful and watch your stuff there.

Awesome place, the shower upstairs was just amazing, location's perfect. Only one thing to complain about : the staff there is just here to check you in and out, asking any questions makes you feel like you're disturbing...

Great place! My only quibble is that they don't serve breakfast, however the checkout time is noon AND the couch has a tail, which more than makes up for the lack :)

This was a friendly hostel, but not a party hostel. The common area is only open until midnight, which is great if you want to get a good night's sleep. If you didn't want to sleep, it's just down the street from many bars and restaurants and you get keys to come in whenever you want. The people staying in the hostel were very friendly though and the bathrooms and showers were nice. There was plenty of hot water too. The staff was good and always there if you have questions.

We stayed for 3 nights here over Semana Santa and had a pretty good stay. This is definitely not a social hostel. The staff is nice when you approach them, but they don't plan activities or engage with the guests. Casa Verde Limon is a great place to stay if you need a break from hostel-craziness. I have to say the trapeze was a great extra touch after a night out!!

Liked that quiet hours started at midnight for those who wanted to sleep. Liked that you had your own area in the kitchen to keep your food. Kind of weird that the showers and toilets are on opposite sides. Utilized laundry service which was a great idea. Didn't like that breakfast wasn't included however.

Overall I enjoyed my stay there. I met some nice people and Valparaiso is a nice town to spend a couple of days. I was left with a bad taste in my mouth, however, when I was told I could get a refund on my last night's accommodation as I had decided to move on more quickly than I had previously planned, only to be told a couple of hours later that I could only get 50% refund. The manager/owner refused to speak to me directly (hiding behind the phone), but eventually I got 100% of my money back.

Very nice hostel!. Big dining area with suitable kitchen! Lots of bathrooms and showers! Very helpful with map and local area! Laundry was reasonably priced and done very quickly.. They kept our luggage after checkout with no problems!

Kitchen was good, bathrooms were above average and very big. Was like a big house and the staff mostly leave you alone :)the best thing about the place is the trapeze which is a good laugh in the evenings. Shame about the after 11pm quiet rule.

Nice place, with lots of character. Showers need a rethink though. One is like trying to shower in a kitchen cupboard, wrapped in plastic!

We had booked a double room in Casa Limon. The room was nice and we had to share the kitchen and bathroom with another couple. Although this was nice, we couldn't go to the communal areas of the hostel, which was not so good. The hostel is only a short walk to the city center.

Casa Verde Limón has a great location next to some cool bars in Valparaiso. Breakfast isn't included, but the room wasn't very expensive so that wasn't a big problem for me. The kitchen is pretty good and the staff were pretty helpful. Overall a good experience.
