A great hostel embracing the artistic vibe of valparaiso. The bathroom could do with updating but plenty of hot water more than makes up for it. Only quibble is that they don't provide breakfast which for the price charged would be fair to expect.

Great place to saty. However, they really need 24hr reception. Some drunk guy got stuck in the foyer and beating on the doors for about 10 minutes. I would have gotten up and let him in, but I sorta thought it was funny. His friends eventually rescued him. My parents were visiting and did fine in a private double.

Rudeness of 2 out of the 3 staff members we met could not get into our room at 1.30pm as it was occupied, but strangely when it was our turn to check out the staff were banging on the door at 12:01 charged us $7,000 pesos to bring in outside guests, no other hostels in Valparaiso did that

We had a private double room in the apartment next door for two nights and then decided to the spend a third night but had to take a private single in the main building as the double was already booked. The apartment next door is just two double rooms with a shared bathroom and kitchen and is beautiful and private and amazing. The room in the main building didn't have a window but shared a beautiful kitchen and living space. Location is perfect.

We enjoyed our stay here, as the staff was very friendly, and the hostel was clean and had a good crowd. There was laundry and bike rental on site, which was great (the bikes could use some repair, but they will get you where you want to go!). The location was good- near the grocery store, bars, restaurants, and local transportation, but it's a taxi ride from the bus station. Rooms were basic, but there was cable in the doubles! Would recommend for sure.
