It needs a good clean under the beds. No microwave. Cooker and utensils old and dirty. The advertised (on the front door) pizza and Indian food did not exist. (The pizza oven is covered in dust). It is a long walk from the bus terminus up hill - taxi a must.

Excellent value for money, but you get what you pay for: it's a bit of a walk to the centre, it's not particularly clean and the rooms are basic. Showers are really good and the kitchen is well equipped, but there is no sharing of basic ingredients (even salt).
A beautiful guest house with spacious rooms and plenty of communal space to relax. Slightly out of town but there is a nice little restaurant nearby.
Wonderful hostel. Just a short walk from the center of town. Very friendly hosts. Nice room with a great view.
I stayed one night in Casa Vienna (Villa de Leyva), while it wasn't exactly in the centre of things it was perfectly adequate for a one night stay. The staff were friendly and the room/bathrooms were clean which is all you need.
Cozy family run hostel. Good location, about 10 minute walk to the city center.
We had 2 nights in VdL at Casa Viena and it we recommend it. Clean rooms. Friendly family welcome. Great kitchen for cooking your own meals. Nice communal space for watching DVD's if it's raining! Secure entrance. Reliable wifi connection. Close to one of the mirador's which is a 2hour round trip and gives you a lovely view of VdL. Taxi there should cost you 4,000 from the bus station.
Nice place but far out of the small town and it could use a few upgrades such as better beds.
The place is quiet and very quaint. There's a full kitchen for cooking, a nice common area with travel books, and a TV with cable and many DVDs. Valentina is extremely nice. She is welcoming and let me use some butter and keep my bags in the common area for 3 hours after I checked out as I explored VDL more and waited for a bus later in the day for free. I reccommend this spot. Just know that it is a bit of a trek to the hostel from the bus terminal so if you have heavy things, get a cab
