located in a decent part of town. had a nice free breakfast with pancakes and fresh fruit. my room had a air conditioner which was very nice feature because san jose, costa rica is hot and humid.

My fly came on time as well as the hostel shuttle. I was really suprised with the hostel house it was very nice. Staff help me to plan my trip through costa rica better than any other guide, of course they are costa rican and know the country very well. I bought home made pizza it was cheap and delicious. Excellnt location super market, mall, souvenirs shops and all this in an old neighborhood called Los Yoses. Highly recommended.

I only stay one night this time, but the staff was very friendly. The rooms very clean and they have and excellent atmosphere, and old costarican mansion with pool table , bar, restaurant, furnished in a bery nice way.Internet service is very good. I had to get to banks , shops and everything ia only two blcks from there. They have a excellent shuttle service to the airport aswell. It is one of the only places they recycle. Price is excellent and I highly recomend Casa Yoses.

Very unfriedly staff, when we arrived (another one more friendly, when we departed). Maybe we are aged 50+? Dirty towel in the bathroom, the drain was totally blocked, in the morning the basin was full of ants, just as the floor. Cockroaches under the bed (but I think, that's not very unusual). Dirty linnen in one bed! When we asked for a lunch-package instead of the (paid) breakfast, because we had to depart at 5am, the staff only laughed at us. A very bad experience!

when i arrived (nov 30th, 21.30) there was no light or electricity in my room. took about 25 minutes for the drunk (or weeded) staff to fix it. and then they had lost the key to the room, which i didn't get until saturday (dec 1st) when i asked about breakfast that should be included. the hungover staff said there is no breakfast, but gave me my key.
