Love the new additions to the hostel this year.

Super friendly staff, beds are clean and super comfortable; especially when compared to the terrible lumpy beds most hostels have. BBQ'd with one of the owners and had an awesome time bar hopping with some of the receptionists afterwards. Restaurant with full bar inside the hostel is amazing, food is good, beer is cold, not much else you can ask for. Will stay here again!

Casa Yoses is the nicest hostel I've been to throughout my travels in Costa Rica. It is very accommodating and comfortable. The only issue I had was the lack of hot water, which is common in Costa Rica.

We didn't have warm water in our room. As we were staying only for a night it wasn't a major issue but would have made our stay perfect if there was warm water.

The check-in seems to be a bit of a problem cause it's hard to get the money sorted out since there's a 10% deposit payed, with the card, in advance. The internet wasn't working at all. If you want to have a party, fine. Just make sure that the rooms close to it can close the windows so not the entire room smells like you-know-what.

We booked a private room for three people which turned out to be in a room with 8 beds.. A lot of space but not what we expected and not very pretty. Another strange thing is when I booked our room almost the whole hostel was booked, but there were almost no people there. Otherwise it's a good hostel. Mas o menos. Def average.

I chose it because it was close to one of the malls (but that turned out to be disappointing in itself!). You needed to get the bus or a taxi to the centre really. I booked a single room - it was a little depressing compared to other hostels I have stayed in. The worst bit was that noise carried through the building like you woulden't believe and people were up until 6am meaning no sleep despite wearing ear-plugs!

Had a great stay and the staff was awesome. Will definately be back to CR soon and this will be the place i will be staying. Thanks for everything.

Would definitely recommend Casa Yoses to friends. It was clean, safe, chilled , the staff were very helpful - they recommended restaurants, made reservations and called taxis for us - and it's in a fairly affluent residential area of San Jose. It's not right bang in the centre, but if you know San Jose, then thats a blessing.

positive- excellent staff,very helpful, free internet and computers to connect, nice living room, included breakfast negative- no keys for the rooms, what if a stranger rings the bell at the front door,gets in and steals?

The staff is really helpfull and friendly, there is free internet, a pooltable and everynight is movienight. The bar is more like a restaurant and not very exciting. There could also be more showers. But overall I recommand the place.

I was barely there long enough to catch a brief nap...everything appeared to be nice though and our room was clean. I would go back.
