Really nice staff, basic clean rooms, there is a dinner every night (for 7 euros) nice terrace.. Probably the best place to stay in Faro...

I had a really awesome time in the "Casa d'Alagoa". The rooms were cleaned every day, the "lobby" had a nice atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and you can ask them everything. They will tell you! The dinner they prepared in the evening (for 7€) was delicious and we had some nice sit-ins afterwards (coffee with a smell...). Thank you guys! I'll be back! :) Christian

It would be much better if the hostel had lockers in the room. Breakfast was ok and staff really nice. Good location.

Aa a solo traveller, the hostel set up was perfect for meeting people. It's like a big house, very welcoming and homely. I arrived at 1am and the owner stil gave me a full tour and was very friendly. It's vey chilled out and the big group dinners are fabulous and just make everything feel so family like. The rooms are big and open which was great cause it was so hot when i was there. Everything was within 5-10 minutes walking distance & when the renovations are all done, it'll be twice as good!

Great atmosphere, lovely location and very friendly and helpfull staff, who travelled a lot themselfs. A good place to meet people. Beds are very comfy and there is a nice roof terrace and a backyard. For a fee you can even have dinner with the owners, which is especially helpfull if you arrive late. Enjoyed our stay a lot and definitely will come back

Nuno and Diego really make you feel like staying at their home. The rooms are very basic, but exceptionally clean. Located just in a centre of Faro, only 10-15 min walk from a train station. We arrived at night time and cab from the airport was just under 15e. Hostel cooks regular dinners and anyone can join for just 7e pp. Breakfast provided is very basic, just toast and cereal, but Mini market is just around the corner and buy all you need. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Location is great, staff very helpful. The bunk beds are self-made, so you can sit upright in your bed if you have the lower one. There are no lockers in the room. Breakfast is moderate (toast/jam or corn flakes). They offer a joint dinner for 7 EUR. A part of the location is still under construction (noise starts at 9am). There is party nearly every evening until 3am. So its a great place for meeting people, but no one for people who need sleep :-)

Amazing!! I can HIGHLY recommend it!! I went back three times and felt like I was coming home. The owners Diogo, Nuno and Nuno are lovely, openminded guys and love running a place where people from all over the world can meet and feel at home. Theyll try and help you with anything. The beds are comfy and everything very clean. Free internet, wonderful dinners (very cheap) with excellent wine and chats. Perfect for both socializing and also if you want to sleep early - just let them know :-)

very good place, great staff, good location, 24 h reception, very clean, have never been to such a spacious 10-bed dorm, high ceilings, nice big bunk bed in which you also can sit straight!!! up, every bed has a plug (bed light still missing, but port ist there) balconys lounge style. if you like it very quiet, not the right place for you; diners together with party afterwards, theres still work to be done, but its definitly the place to be.

The facilities are clean and the beds are large and comfortable compared to other Portuguese hostels. The kitchen is also on par but the bathrooms where not very good and the shower was poor although clean. This hostel is in a building currently been renovated. The big plus is that the hostel has free car parking.

Great place overall, only one let down was the security. People seemed to be beeping each other in all the time and the last night I was there the staff through a massive party and a whole bunch of locals (friends presumably) partied till 4am in the morning (quite hard to sleep). Didnt feel all that secure!

Lovely hostel with extremely helpful and cheerful staff. You won't get bored living there I assure you. Our check in was mixed with a party and we left after a party. There is a dinner prepared by the staff every day for 7 euros, I recommend trying it at least once. It's most likely you leave this place with a smile on your face.
