ENG -- Great place to stay. Rooms are clean and swimming pool perfect to relax after a trip in buggies. ESP -- Perfecto hostal en Huacachina. Las habitaciones están limpias y la piscina esta perfecta después de una actividad de sandboard!
A good location with a pool right under the huge sand dune of Huacachina. The rooms are well-sized and the in-house bar/club make the weekends a fun time here. The front desk also handles all the bookings of the activities in the area and make it really easy.
Really enjoyed my time at this hostel :) The pool was great, and the private room was very cheap. Recommended.
Absolutely loved this place! Read some really bad reviews and had some concern booking it but so glad I did. This place is more of a resort then a hostel but it's perfect in my eyes. Great pool with a bar one side and snack bar the other, great atmosphere and brilliant place to meet people. If you stay on a Friday or Saturday tho be warned the club is loud and locals come from ica to party, music is very loud. Rooms are big and clean, beds really comfy and the owner cesar couldn't help enough.
Hostel is cheap, rooms are basic but you get what you pay for. Thankfully we were there midweek and avoided the noise and late parties we had read about from previous reviews that occur at the weekends. Staff were not very friendly or helpful.
This place was awful. Security was horrible, no one at any doors, our room door did not even close fully, lockers were warped and unusable. On top of this there is a bar in there so many strangers with access to your room. Location was fine but its impossible not to be in such a small town. Staff was rude and even gave us counterfeit money as change (and they all know and check, this was not a mistake). Very dirty, shared bathrooms with the bar, no toilet paper. Tried to charge us too much. Loud
staff promised early breakfast, since we had to leave early for a day trip. however, did not work out. also, they first wanted us to pay more. otherwise, clean rooms, nice pool and cool people.

Pool and bar were nice places to meet others, food and drink were reasonably prices. Locker situation was the worst I've ever experienced.
I don't mind having loud music for a party. However with 10 people in the bar and loud music going until late at night on a Monday, it doesn't make any sense. As for the hostel itself. It is a typical party hostel. Nothing amazing but as well nothing terrible.
This is a party place, with the on-location nightclub pumping out tunes to early morning. We enjoyed a good sat night here. Pool is nice to relax in during the day).
Excellent and fun lodge! Clean rooms, good wi-fi, a big pool and a cool bar (ask the bartenders to prepare a pisco sour drink, it's delicious). The atmosphere among travellers is great and the sand dunes' view is amazing! They also have a good restaurant next to the pool. On the other hand, be aware that breakfast is not included and hot showers don't last too long... anyway, I totally recommend this place.
Very good value for the money. Atmosphere was really good if you don't mind loud music all day long. If you're looking for a nice place to relax by the pool, listen to good music and have a drink Casa Arena will be a perfect fit. Staff could've done a better job on making guests feel welcome.
Stayed here for one night to do the sand-dune tour. Organised by the hostel staff who seemed a bit disinterested at first but then warmed up later on and seemed quite nice in the end. Breakfast available (at a small cost) in the morning which saves hassles finding a cafe. Wasn't there on Fri or Sat but there was still a party happening so it was rather noisy. Basic room which is fine for a short stay.
"casa de arena" means they have sand everywhere. Bathrooms are the showers for the pool, they were full of sand and some toilets were clogged and pretty nasty. I reserve the boogies with them, i waited 40 minutes to get into one (there is no room for legs between seats, and there is a metal bar that separates them, i hit my knee pretty bad with the metal bar). 44s were left, they charge me 49 and i stayed an extra night that its supposeed to cost 25 they ask 30, i didnt pay 30, i was mad.
