Good hostel, excellent laundry - best in 4 months of traveling SA, the clothes actually came back clean! Good location but lack of breakfast was disappointing given the price. Dorms have a/c switched off but not in our private room. Booked MarSol for us to Taganga which was great.

Thank you for taking care of me while I stayed in Cartagena. I didn't speak much spanish and I am very grateful that the staff was patient with me and my lack of communication skills.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It felt like a home away from home and it was lovely being able to take the odd dip in the pool to cool off from the Cartagena heat. The hostel expects people to respect one another and they do. It was great to be able to get a good nights sleep. The staff were very friendly and caring. We were sad to leave and will definitely return.

I have just returned from a week stay at hostel Chicheria. Everything was absolutely wonderful, the staff were really friendly and helpful.It has a great location for exploring Cartagena and I can{t wait for my next stay there in a few months time.

Air conditioning was too cold. For the rest, excellent place. The staff were very kind.

The hostel is an a great location, it clean, the staff are super friendly and helpful. The facilities are all really good. Maybe slightly overpriced (we were hear during Semana Santa which may explain the price).

Miriam the hostel manager is amazing. It would have been even better had the night shift staff is anywhere near as good.

Awesome place with great staff. AC turns off at 9am for dorm rooms, so it's difficult to sleep in due to the heat unless you have a private room.

Hostel had a lot of character and had a great location. It was quite clean and had a very cool indoor pool. It also had some hammocks that were perfect for afternoon naps. The staff (particularly Miriam) was fantastic. There is a hostel dog as well that is very friendly. They do not have breakfast, but serve great Colombian coffee. I would come back again.

I would recommend Casa de la Chicheria for who wants a hostel to chill out and just rest a little. It is not a party hostel, so you will have a quiet atmosphere, nice beds to sleep in, a good shower, clean rooms and a very friendly staff.

really nice stay - swimming pool, clean rooms. only thing is there is no breakfast but fully equipped kitchen to make your own.

Love the staff! Everyone was a big help, and very friendly. Security in the dorms was an issue. Other then that my stay was fabulous!

Good hostel overall. For price point, basic breakfast and towels should be included. Also, men's shower room was often quite dirty and flooded so that it was gross to use toilet or step out after a shower. I would renovate men's shower to same high standard as women's shower. Staff was great...Miriam is sweet. Was also nice that maid cleaned up dorm beds daily.

The lady who runs the front desk is so lovely, bends over backwards for guests and males the place feel really homely. Nice and quiet, small, good to get a great nights sleep.

Stayed here for five nights and had a great time. The hostel is in a great location and is very secure. It's definitely more of a laid back hostel so dont expect to party, you can do that outside and the staff expects it to be quite after midnight.

A wonderful house in the old part of cartagena. There even is a small pool! Didnt see anyone in it though. The chill out area and kitchen are very nice. The rooftop terrase exists but isnt too great. There is only one bathroom per gender. The room I was staying in was totally fine. The bed was comfortable.
