Has everything you would need in the hostel and is close to both restaurants and grocery stores if you want to make your own food in their well equiped kitchen. A friendly and sociable place where people hang out in the kitchen and meet one another. Walking distance to anything you might want to see in Budapest, and close to metro as well. Good value for money.

This hostel is really cool! Very very helpful staff, clean room and nice terrace bar with cheap beer :) The building is colorful and very unique, and it was really easy to reach all the cool bars of Budapest! They have bikes to rent too, and there are a lot of activities to do in the building. I recommend the Casa with all my heart!

Average location, not too close but not too far of a walk to any of the sights. EXTREMELY helpful and friendly staff that recommended restaurants & helped us find our way everywhere. 4 person female dorm was basic but all we needed for 2 nights & very good for the price we paid. Shared bathrooms were less than pristine, and I would have been very hesitant to use the shower if staying longer. Would love to stay there when the pool and patio are open in summer.

The shower in the bathroom was very poor. The holder didn't work, the pressure was awful and it looked like an insect infestation had recently taken over the bathroom. Mattresses were also very uncomfortable, and the floor was filthy.

the staff is lovely...a lot of weekly activies which create good relations between the backpackers like walking, kenu, bike tours...etc...showers/toilets are super clean...pubs, bars, restaurants are just 5 minutes by walking... nothing bad to say about this hostel!..if I come back to Budapest, sure I will spend one more night at the Casa de la Musica!

Firstly the staff are excellent.. but the hostel is a little dilapidated, I guess the place is going for a grungy feel but I prefer modern hostels with a new/clean feel. The mattresses/pillows need to be binned and replaced, and please note the walls are paper thin so a small dorm won't necessarily mean a quiet sleeping space. Overall it's ok but I've stayed at nicer places over the last couple of months. Despite the great staff I'd wait for new matresses before a return visit.
