The place is not so easy to find since it seemed to us that there is two streets with the same name but once we've found it we realized that the location was very good! The staff wasfriendly, can speak a good english and some french and they allow us to get one extra blanket from another room. On the negative side, the room and the sheets were a little bit humid but we assumed it's pretty much due to the area. Cleanliness not 100% perfect neither but for 1 or 2 nights it's still a good deal!
Avoid in the winter. The rooms are very cold and heating will cost you the same amount that the room cost again.
Good location + close to market and restaurant. Not far from attractive spot. Great , Freindly, Helpful staffs (especially, Mr.Bob) but the room is a bit cold , no heater or condition. the door is difficult to lock and No daily cleaning the room and a bit dirty.
You get that you pay for. Shame the views across the valley have been obstructed by the building of a new high rise building. Generally ok, good location but in need of some love and a good old clean. Smelled a bit damp.
Really nice and helpful staff. Basic rooms that could use some renovations but spacious and comfortable. Very good value for money.
When we booked we didn't realise that it was in such a great place close to the markets & the walk down to CatCat. The Manager Bob is a fantastic young man who is very helpful he provided us with everything we needed to get to BacHa including sending us to his friend in Lau Chi so that we got on the right mini bus. He is a young local who is starting out and runs a very clean hotel his cheese & tomato omelette is fantastic...so support a local and stay with Bob at Casblanca ...great Wifi signal
We booked with hostelworld, at the end we'd a long discusion about the breakfast (included or not). We didn't pay for it. No direkt view into valley, because of a new construction site in front of the hotel. We hiked to the Mong villiages in our own, the receptionist will help you to find the right way down. Enjoy Sa Pa and stay for at least 4 nights.
The staff was very friendly and helpful! Only the room smelled really bad ( moldy). When we booked the hostel it said on the web page that breakfast was included! On our arrival we were told that it was not. In the end we didn't need to pay. Other backpackers told us that there rooms were better!
