Loved it. Much more like a home than a hostel. If you want lots of people/going out it's not for you. But if you want a home to relax in, it's amazing. Location is a bit out (30min walk). Make the taxi use a meter & it should be $1.50-2.50 to get most places. Lots of shops near. Don't use laundrette DOWN the hill! Shrunk and tore clothes.

Lugiana is an angel looking after you from start to finish 😇

It's a home away from home! My girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay here. The owner was so friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend it!!

We enjoyed our stay at Casapaxi so much that we booked 3 more nights for our return to Quito after our trip to the Galapagos. The hostel is very clean, spacious, quiet and has a relaxed atmosphere. Luigina who owns the hostel was very welcoming and kind, and gave us great advice for travelling around Ecuador, even organising a nighttime tour of Quito for us which we enjoyed very much. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for somewhere comfortable to relax in the bustle of Quito.

The Senora was welcoming but a bit paranoid. The light in the room was burned out and only a dim table lamp made it impossible to read. The overhead light in the bathroom was out also. Location was not convenient and taxi was the best means to get anywhere.

you booked 2 nights and arrived one day late (on Saturday night) asking to stay 3 more days and went to sleep because -you told me- you felt tired and sick coming from Galapagos. Second day, on Sunday, you ran out very early without paying your bill... therefore you can not state the hostel is expensive... ' Facilities' : which kind of facilities did you need the only night you spent here? I would say you use to travel without paying bills and damaging hostel's scores.

Hostel is very difficult to find in a boring urban neighbourhood far from everything. Hostel is like a converted '60ies house run by an old lady. House is pretty clean though and quite big, although it misses the vibe and facilities of a cozy hostel. The lady that runs the place is quite friendly, although sometimes a bit to much, sorry...

$15,12/room 2beds linen towels private toilette, shared shower, kitchen washing machine WIFI it is expensive? Sorry if the neighbourhood was boring for you in the 2days you booked before leaving Quito. Sorry if I was to much friendly (?) asking if you or your partner needed something. This is life: some people complain if you help them others are complaining because they ask more and more help. Anyway life keeps running.

Nice little hostel, really sweet Italian owner. More of a guesthouse however and not the place to go if looking to socialise. Kitchen is fine, and bedrooms clean and comfortable. Not the greatest location as nothing is really nearby except standard shops like bakeries and internet cafes but easy enough to get the bus from the main road during the day.
