Lovely new hostel. Couldn't be in a better location - very close to both the town center and the lake. Kleman was amazing - super friendly and happy to help with whatever you needed. Really good kitchen. Then only thing that was lacking really was a common room, but otherwise no complaints.

I would totally recommend this hostel. Klemen is awesome and so nice and he is ready to help whenever and wherever you need it. It comes with a bunch of stores and restaurants where you get discounts and the location is within walking distance of everything. It's set up so you can really easily make some good friends!

The owners are actually currently renovating the Castle Hostel so we stayed in Ace of Spades. Brand new hostel with fantastic kitchen. Very friendly and helpful staff although sometimes it was hard to locate them and quite a few people had problems trying to find the place. In 2 weeks, the owner said that he will have built a reception area which will resolve this issue. The owner drives guests to the vintage gorge for free. The 4 bedded room was quite small.

Very nice to bring us to Vintgar gorges, then we didn't have to come back by the same footpath and could do a loop. There is no curtain at the window in the room, it would be better with one. Bathroom is perfect. Staff is nice.

Excellent hostel, best hostel I stayed during my two month roundtrip through Europe. When we got there there were still some minor renovations going on, the hostel just finished moving buildings. The staff was wonderful, took us out to the Gordge for free, recommended great hiking spots. After they learned that we had to be at the train station by 8am, even drove us out there so we wouldn't have to take the 6am bus. The kitchen is wonderful and modern, the hostel is literally across supermarket.

By far one of the nicest hostels I have stayed at. Really big kitchen and smart tv. It's right across from the super market which is very convenient. Klemen, the owner gave me a tour around the lake, and drove me to the train station when I left. Where I stayed Just opened and it will be called Ace of Spades. The new castle hostel will be open in 2 months it looks like it will be awesome.

Very clean and well maintained hostel. The highlight of the hostel is the huge kitchen in the common area with plenty of room for food preperation and large dining table for many people to sit around. Large flatscreen TV is also a bonus. If anything, the wifi is a little bit hit and miss. But overall a great stay with great location. Price in low season is great.

The host Klemen is very friendly. He even drove us to watch the biggest flying ski competition in Slovenia. He put extra effort to work with several restaurants to provide discount to his guests. It's a very nice gesture to his guests.

Very comfortable bed. Owner is friendly and helpful, though I struggled to ever find him. On arriving at the hostel, I arrived to a building that is being demolished and struggled to find the actual location which has been moved to just around the corner. I'm not sure why they can't just put a sign up to say, go around the corner....for a good 20 minutes, I was sure I was in the middle of nowhere, with nowhere to stay. I was offered a free night however, which was nice. I would stay here again.

A very very nice hostel! It is completely new and just above the old building, the rooms, bathroom and common kitchen are clean and very modern looking. It's located 2 minutes from the best pastry shop where they sell the famous "kremšnita" and 5 minutes from the lake. Awesome value for your money! Also, the staff is super friendly.

By far the most fun I've had in my many hostel stays. The owners really go out of their way give every guest the best possible time in Bled, including transfers, itineraries, tea, and help at the post office. They really love their hostel and it shows -- I stayed here twice, a week apart, and they were busy bees putting up photos (Klemen's, and nicer than the postcards I bought) and opening up an extra bathroom for the common area. Great location, great kitchen, and unbeatable hosts!

This hostel was exceptional. Although I stayed during the off season and there were very few other people staying at Castle, Klemen the owner of Castle went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure my stay was enjoyable. Offering me two extra nights free after booking two and providing me ( and rather cheekily) my friends transfers to local sights. The hostel itself is modern clean and spacious with good working facilities I have already reccomended this hostel to fellow travellers

The actual hostel was closed. They were doing renovations in the offseason, we went in Nov, but continued to take res. and didn't check their email to see the notice from hostelworld. We spent 30 min walking around looking for their new hostel, which was also under construction. We received no offer of a refund or any other consolation. The new hostel looks like it will be very nice, clean, and modern. Where we actually stayed ended up being ok, but not enough to overcome almost being stranded.
