The stay at Castle House has been great but there were a few hiccups as well. When we reached the first day, there was some confusion and there was no room available for us.. The Hotel staff tried to accommodate us in a nearby guest house, some Sai Kripa or something, and that was Pathetic! We were very tired, and hence didn't have any energy left to go and search for another hotel. The next day onwards we stayed at Castle House, and it was great. the staff is very friendly n extremely helpful!

Would certainly return if in the area. Do suggest staff be friendly with guests but not become too familiar. Thank you!

I'd like to give a rating on the actual hostel but after I arrived in Goa after traveling from Canada for nearly 24 hours I arrived at the hostel only to find out that there was no rooms available. They moved me to a hostel 2 doors down which I didn't have a choice in. I also had to pay the full amount over again even after the deposit on hostel world. I was too tired to argue at that point. It was not comparable as it had no hot water and security was not the best.

Hotel checking was painless, room was clean tv reception was not working. Bar fridge in room was handy to keep water cool. Computer with i at the bar was handy as there was no wifi. We had booked for a few nights before new years eve so rates were more expensive and the place was full. (although it always seemed quiet) Definetly not a party hotel for young people. Mostly was 50+ Russians or Brits so I would avoid if you are considering partying in goa. staff were very helpful when I lost my CC

a good sound budget hotel. yes the rooms are basic and you cant help but smile when you see some of the pictures on your bedroom wall, but the place is clean and welcoming. staff are friendly, the food is great, and i think the hotels pool is the only pool in india which i saw with a filter and being cleaned... id reccomend it to anyone on a budget in india

It is not that close to the beach, and the beach closeby is not that good. But overall very friendly staff and lots of fun

A great place and the perfect way to fnish our stay in India. Hot water, clean rooms, good food and drink and it's always nice to have a pool. Although we were there in the low season we still had a lot of fun and I imagine it would be even better in high season. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help us. When I lost my passport and missed my train the staff drove me around 'til we found it and then rebooked me a train for later that day. I look forward to coming back

we had to ask a number of times to get our beroom cleaned as the sheets were damp. They just put damp sheets back on the bed, defeating the purpose but it was rainy season so everything was very damp. The tv reception was pretty bad but the pool was nice and the breakfsst you get included was a good deal. Be warned air con comes as an extra charge and you can't leave windows or doors open due to mosquitos so the fan is the only option. Would stay here again and would reccommend
