Besides the fact that I had to walk across the hallways and up the stairs to use the washroom from the female dormitory, I actually enjoyed this place. I loved being next to Royal Mile. There was a lounge area next to the computer room which gave me a chance to unwind when I didnt want to be cooped up in a room. The staff were helpful. I would come back again but probably try to sleep in a room with a bathroom or at least near it. Its awkward for guests to see me running around in a bath robe.

I stayed there just for one night, but I really loved it! I'll stay there again if I come back to Edinburgh! Everything was clean and the staff was really helpful and nice. It is close to the castle so you can walk to anyplace you want to visit.

Very clean and comfortable hostel in a fantastic location for access to the 'Old Town'.

It was not possible to turn off the light during the night t in the 4 bed dorm.

I loved this hostel. It didn't have the best bed but everything else more than made up for that. The people were great, the staff very helpful and always around. I loved the movie room since going out every night for a month is a bit taxing it was great being able to chill and watch a movie. This is one of the best hostels I stayed in during my trip to Europe, I definitely return next time I am in Edinburgh.

The location, by far, made the hostel well worth the price. Edinburgh castel is literally right across the street. It is definitely a tourist area. During the day the surrounding area gets pretty packed. Great location for bars. Did the hostel pub crawl and although they didn't take us to the exclusive locations that they claim, the people I met were awesome. Stayed in a 4 bed all female dorm with my friend and it was small but nice. Average hostel accomodations. Great castle vibe.

It is over rated hostel, lot of people leave there that is not good, some time day didn't have hot water, not breakfast and that make it not sheap, nice vew, not so clean, a lot of noice, look for Otero place to stay. Staff bud

Good location but very small rooms

Cold showers and extremely tiny rooms do not compensate for the excellent location of this hostel.

Loved the lockers with safes in the dorms, felt very confident leaving my stuff there. Great location for visiting the castle, and easy walking distance to most attractions. Hot water wasn't working in one of the bathrooms but staff put signs up and directed people to the bathrooms where it was still working. Would definitely stay there again next time I visit Edinburgh!

This was a cool hostel with lots of character. The best part is the location - Great view of the castle from the front door and from the windows of some rooms. Staff was very helpful. The only thing that was strange is all the artwork with nudity in various parts of the building. If that doesn't bother you, this is a fantastic hostel at a hard to believe price.

excellet hostel! the location is great, people are really cool. the cleanliness was great too, everything tidy. the city is incredible, and the hostel is close to everything. the toilettes are good also, and the common spaces are big, and lots of.

Excellent hostel! Clean, comfortable rooms, lovely kitchen and dining area, friendly staff. The first night I was there there was a free pasta dinner which was delicious and a great way to meet some of the people in the hostel. Breakfast was delicious and free, tons of variety to choose from. No complaints.

This is the best hostel I have ever stayed in... Amazing staff. Free tea and coffee and rooms are light and nice. Showers were a bit dodgy but overall the best hostel. I would definitely stay here again

adorable hostel with an amazing view of the Edinburgh Castle across the street and just a short walk away from many of the great places in Edinburgh. be sure to join the hostel\'s Pub Crawl as well as Free Walking Tour- both were awesome! staff is friendly and there are lockers with locks! also towel rental is really cheap- less than 1 euro. you won\'t regret staying here!

I always stay here when in Edinburgh. Great place, Great people. Perfect location.
