The staff were very friendly and relaxed, the room was lovely and really clean, maybe suggest having a few more brochures recommending pubs, clubs and restaurants.

The bathrooms had a strange stale urine smell (even the showers did).

Very good location, amazing building, good beds. The toilet and bathrooms were very clean. It is very value for money. I do recommend! It could be better if had a mirror in my room!

This is a funky hostel with great decorations and atmosphere. There are lockers for belongings. The location is good. You have to pay for breakfast, but it's worth it.

There were no headlights in the room so if someone came in late had to switch on the main light that wakes up everyone each time.

It is the best hostel I have ever stayed!large and comfortable lounge

The location is great and the facilities are nice and clean. There are lockers beside the beds so I felt that may belongings were very safe. The wifi was spotty in the rooms, but you could get alright wifi in the lounges. The breakfast wasn't very nice, but that wasn't a huge drawback. You could rent a towel for 20p which was great because I didn't want to have to pack one in my backpack. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay, and I met a lot of great people.

Can't really fault the hostel, everything was really good, just that the idea of squeezing the lockers under the beds still seems a little weird when the rooms are really big. the only minor issue is the showers. its a mixed shower and washroom so to take a shower during peak periods, be prepared to wait as there will be a queue.

I had a very nice time in the Hostel. There are friendly people who will help in everything if you ask. I've never been alone there and I made good friends. The services are excellent. I enjoyed the breakfast, the decoration, the sights and the company, I almost never used internet because I was between talking with people, listening to music and playing on the "pocket billards". The spaces are big: kitchen, lounges, baths. And they are very comfortable.

It was a really nice place to stay. There was no elevator which was kind of hard with a large piece of luggage but otherwise the hostel was great!

I would suggest to have more hanger in the room. Other than that, everything was great!

I absolutely loved this hostel. I stayed at 4 in different places on my trip and this was my favourite. Such an amazing building with great character in all rooms. 2 big kitchen areas, 3 common rooms to hang out in, and a movie room that played movies twice a day! Right next to the Edinburgh castle and Royal Mile. Super friendly staff and I was in a very spacious room with secure lockers. Don't have anything bad to say! great place for great value!

It had everything you could want, different lounges dependent on your what you want to do, location perfect as a tourist or if you just want to be close to the bars and restaurants!

I enjoyed the uniqueness of the hostel all of the cool rooms to hang out . I enjoyed how clean it was and the safe and locker were fantastic. I didn't like the lack or a bathroom in a 4 bed female dorm or the fact that no mirrors in the room. The lights in room were appreciated and everything always seemed really clean. Including breakfast in the price would make it more appealing.

Best hostel I've been in so far. Friendly and helpful staff, willing to give any information needed. Clean, comfortable and spacious hostel. I like the different themed lounges, rooms and beds! Will definitely be back 1 or 2 more times during the semester!

Staff were great - good banter and quick to get us checked in and out. We stayed in the 4 bed private room, it was small but plenty big enough for sleeping and all our luggage. The communal areas have large sofas etc for lounging on. The toilets were spotless, even by lunchtime on the Sunday - if you get my meaning? Overall would definitely recommend.

I stayed in Edinburgh for 2 nights at this hostel and it was great. Perfect location really and clean. The room was kind of stuffy at night, but otherwise a good place to stay. I didn't have breakfast there or set foot in any of the lounges, but it had everything I needed for a really good deal!
