Really enjoyed my stay. Located close to everything. Very clean, safe and fun place to stay. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. I would definitely recommend this place to fellow backpackers.

It is the best hostel for the price that I have ever stayed in, and I have stayed in quite a few. The staff is very helpful and knowledgable. The free breakfast is great. Rooms and beds are clean. There is usually hot water for showers. It is conveniently located on the east side of downtown San Jose in a community known as San Pedro, near the University of Costa Rica. Lots of clubs and bars and restaurants, a shopping mall, and groceries within walking distance. It is in a safe area.

Very friendly and supportive - especially the long term resident such as Mr. Lee as well as the manager. Quiet and organized. A little far from the center of the city, but accessible by city bus. Stores, restaurants and bus stop are very close.

The couch for watching TV is a piece of board with some cloth on it. The rest of the furniture is garbage. There is no staff. The WiFi is the worst ever.

The best part of my stay was how quiet the hostel was. The hostel was able to combine a fun comfortable atmosphere with the peace and quiet you get with a hotel. It was like having the best of both worlds.

I was suprised in a negative way. It has a good rating on hostelworld.com, but I didn't like my stay. Yes the people who are working there are nice. No, it is not clean. Yes, the building, especially the rooms, needs to be renovated. No, the people who stayed there where not nice . It is a safe area though, and by using public transport close to the center.

This was the uncleanest Hostel i have ever been. The kitchen was so dirty that you don't even want to drink a coffee. The floor was dirty of sauces, some food laying on the fridge was moulded and that over 2 days i have been there. The bathroom was the same unhygienic. The Couch in the entrance just looks like a couch but wenn you sit down you realize that its only wood with cloth in it. I would never recommend that hostel and wonder why its rated so good.
