We all really enjoyed it!! The toilets/ bathrooms were a bit nasty once or twice during our stay but it's a great place with some pretty sound people too!

Cat's Hostel is a good hostel that I would definitely consider staying at again. My main criticism is of the female receptionist who I found to be very rude and offensive. I think she was the only staff I would say was not helpful. Thank you for the lockers and for letting us store our luggage the day of check out.

This is a cool hostel with a really nice open area to sit around and meet people. Itīs a shame that a great hostel is ruined by so many rude and unhelpful staff. The hostel is also really big which reduced group atmosphere. If you know what youīre doing in Madrid and donīt need to speak to the staff at any stage about anything then iīd give it a go, otherwise skip it. We also stayed at Las Musas Residence just around the corner which was way better-helpful staff and a better atmosphere for sure.

Location is amazing. 5 min walk to centre of town. Cheap as chips.

I think the staff is the biggest draw back to the hostel. The young woman at the front desk is very short and rude when you talk to her. We were placed in the attic right next to the industrial sized washing machines that started at the crack of dawn. And the showers were luke-warm and the push button ones. The rooms are VERY small. You really can't beat the location though, the breakfast is great, and free internet! Just make sure you don't get to breakfast within the last 15 minutes.

This was a good hostel and easy to find from the train station (Atocha). The staff was friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast and lounge (including downstairs bar). Free internet access but has a 20 minute limit. Overall, had a GOOD time at Cats!

Probably the best, most sociable hostel I have ever stayed at, and I have stayed at a lot! The courtyard is amazing and the social atmosphere of the basement bar great. The only minor downside is the fiddley locks on the doors to the dorms, they are a nightmare! Also one of the staff members was very sour!

Is in a great location, a good place to stay for first time in Madrid but i do not think I;d stay there again. It was not too bad when I stayed but I imagine that in the spring/ summer it could get very noisy. Staff were not particularly friendly though were helpful to me when I had problems with my locker
