Beds were uncomfortable. The heat in some commum areas were turned off. The shower was cold. And maybe some individual lights in the bedroom would be better to avoid discussions with the roommates. the wifi internet was bad. It only had signal in some isolated spots. we couldnt drink anything that was not achieved in the bar. there was no kitchen for basic food prepare.

This hostel is cheap. So, for the price you pay it's good. For example, in a 14 bed dorm there is one socket/plug. I watched 2 people almost fight because one unplugged the others phone that was charging. But that's not much to complain about. There were a lot of builders walking around but it didn't bother me. I was expected a warzone with some of the comments I read here before going, but as usual some people are dramatic and addicted to complaining! For me, the hostel is fine.

I really like this hostel, friendly staff (for the most part), great location, good security. It was the second time I had stayed there. The only complaint though is the locks on the dormitory doors!!! They are so frustrating and unnecessary! Our room (12) had a particularly faulty one. I felt this way on both visits. Besides that though, good enough.

Ok, I might been a bit harsh, but the fact that you get there and you can not sleep because during the morning and afternoon someone is banning on the world next the head of your bed, then well, you don't like it, besides when you get your clothes full of construction dirt, that doesn't help. I am sure they are doing it to improve the please which I must say has a lot of potential and the staff is great, just at the moment the facilities don't help much. But I would definetely go back, later!

Very nice Hostel. The only problem is that there should be a heater on the bathroom, becuse it was reaaly cold inside there when finishing the bath. Besides this, I had a really nice time.

Sleep on the street and you will be better off. This is the worst hostel I have ever stayed in. My group of friends and I were terribly received by a very unfriendly, rude and greedy individual. The place is under construction and the entire building is dusty and disgusting, they shouldn't be open for business. Bathrooms have no heat, are not frequently cleaned and showers are microscopic and cold. Wireless works only if you stay next to reception and there are absolutely no power outlets.

Hey! I was in Cat's hostel for two nights last weekend. I really like this hostel, but I have to say that I was not surprised, 'cause I was there before some years ago. It's really close to the center and that's fantastic. It's also fantastic the common room which is on the ground floor. The paella party is always so funny :) And there's a good atmosphere. The price is also good, 14 euros for a night is not so much! I recommend to go there if you want to be in Madrid for a while. Patrícia

Beds need fumigation, the night was miserable, bed bugs were hard at work. Very early in the morning, two room guest turned on the lights and kept talking, worse than that was the horrible feet smell. I canceled my reservation, got my money back and left the hostel.

This was my third stay at Cat's & overall it's a decent hostel. However, I suggest the smaller dorms rather than the large ones, since the lockers didn't work. The staff let me leave my bag behind the desk with them, but it's always better to have a secure place in the room. Also, my friend got bedbugs during our stay - & although they moved us to different beds & later fumigated the room, we spent lots of time and money on cleaning everything and I would have liked some compensation.

there was still construction work going on when we arrived. so it was loud and dusty everywhere. it was finished right before we left so it should be nicer now. the location is excellent though. also, it's a party hostel

it was under decoration when we were there and is really noisy. our room mates went to party every night and get back at 3 am that we were woken up every night. the room is small. and we can even speak to the neibours inside own rooms since the wall cannot stop the noise spreading. nice bar.

This hostel has a good party atmosphere for anyone that is looking for it. The downstairs bar area was a really cool place to hang out and I found the complimentary breakfast to be excellent. I would not recommend this hostel for anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing place to stay.

The room should be cleaner, with clean sheets. The batheroom is really clean, the bar is awesome. The staff didn't know a few important informations. There was a work in the building that was not warned and they worked at night, after 22 hours, which is absurd.
