I booked a 2 people dorm ensuite. The shutters and the lamp were broken. The shelves were so dirty and so the bathroom. The kitchen furniture was old and dirty. The appartment was sitted 200m away from the hostel (were we had to have breakfast) and we were not informed previously. The hostel itself small and the building stairs smelled awful. There was no elevator (we carried our bagagge till the third floor), no reception (it was a little table in the owner's bedroom next to the door). AWFUL.

I think there could be hubs of plugs, so more people could use the electricity The doors could sometimes produce noise and please suggest the elderly not to sleep next to the doors

This place was pretty good. One thing I would say is that we were supposed to have an ensuite room and even though we had our own bathroom, it was down the hall. So we had to leave our room to get to our bathroom. Otherwise, the location was great and the place was clean. I would probably recommend this place.

Still one of my favorite places. Check it out if you are wanting some old world charm and a light breakfast when in Budapest. The owner is fantastic, warm and congenial. The facilities are Budapest with it's whacky mix of old and new as well with repurposed. Location couldn't be better right in the middle of Budapest's core area and only a couple of minutes from the Octagon Tram stop. If you are really wanting the feel of what Budapest is all about, this is a perfect choice.

Owner is so friendly. Location is prefect. Money changer is just located downstair. The only thing is, hostel located st 3rd floor, 'climbing' up is quite tiring especially after a lobg day walking tour. Overall, good!

We stayed in the apartment along the road from the hostel. The situation was excellent and following helpful guidance from the hostel reception, on arrival, we thoroughly enjoyed our time.

There were no lockers which was a big minus. Toilets and showers were really clean and new. Beds were quite uncomfortable but for the one night we stayed and for the money we spent they served okay. Location was really great. A big grocery store was downstairs and metro station also really close.

The only hostel in this price range with breakfast. Toast, coffee, tea, cheese or jelly or jam. A nice place in the middle of everything that is Budapest! Enjoy the walk up original stairs to a rooftop view over the cinema.

At the beginning is not easy to see the hostel cause the written outside is not so evident but once you are in, you definetelly love the building and the location is perfect.

The night staff was excellent! Spacious, neat, and well equipped. I take off a bit for cleanliness as smoking is permitted outside of open windows so the rooms can get unpleasant. Breakfast is toast and jam or spreadable cheese w/ coffee or tea, but the kitchen is well equipped and some breakfast is more than none!

It was a pleasent stay at Caterina Hostel & Guesthouse. Our 2 persons room was spacious and clean and peaceful enough for sleeping althought the window was on the street side. Small basic breakfast was a good start for the day. Staff was also very nice and liked to chat a little :)

Very nice staff. Location is extremely comfortable. Just 30 seconds to tram station, 10 min walk to Nyugati station. And of course VERY CHEAP ACCOMODATION.

The hostel is on the main business street between the subway stations of the yellow line and blue line, a supermarket is just downstairs, everything is so close within the walking distance, perfect location. The stuff was very friendly. I'll definitely stay back again.
