Located near metro 1, and tram lines. Good bargain for its price. Simple breakfast (toast). Free internet.

We stayed in the appartment which was very dirty. We stayed there for 2 nights, there was only enough hot water for 1 shower on the first day and no hot water at all on the 2nd. When we told the staff about it, no appology was made, not even an offer to have a shower at the other site! We were also charged for them to hold our bags for us after we checked out (which were kept under the stairs, not even is a locked room!) Very poor, will not stay there again.

I loved it - perfect for families and couples who wants to sightsee the city. No good for youngsters who wants to have fun. We were positively shocked with the staff and cleanliness as well as rooms (old, but with a character and huge).

You must to pay Ģ1 for leaving your luggage. The sheets were really dirty and the building is really scary.

The bathroom walls were slimy. The shower alcove and the bathroom floor were covered long dark hairs when we arrived. The sheet were far too short for the bed and the blankets were verz thin. The staff gave poor directions to the apartment and onlz onse set of keys so that someone was locked in at apartment at times. Tbe bedroom was dusty. There was verz little toilet paper and we had to bring our own.

If you just need a good bed to sleep in Budapest, Caterina is the place to stay. At first sight, it seems to be a crap place, because itīs located on the top floor of an old building. But the interior of the hostel is alll new and in good conditions. Beds are nice, showers too, and the staff is very friendly and helpfull. Itīs good located too, sorroundings ofOktagon square is a cheap place to eat and drink, cheaper than the center. P.s: thereīs a small fare to leave the bags after checkout.

Great hostel, rooms are big. If I go to Budapest one more time, I'm pretty sure that I would stay there again.

the lock out between 10.30am and 2 is pretty annoying. The living space is small and the kitchen is rubbish because you can't use the fridge and the oven was out of use when we were there. Prices for washing are outrageous and you are charged to leave your bags the day you check out but friendly helpful staff.
