i had a great time in budapest and at caterina hostel, too. nice and friendly staff, clean facilities and close to most of the sites. the matress could be a little thicker next time and the noise of the street came through the open window, but thats okay. thanks!!

I had a board fall on me from the top bunk; but I didn't get hurt...just sort of a funny thing that happened; but overall the hostel was good...a quieter place if that is what you prefer....and free internet access (for a certain time) which was a major plus!!!

An excellent hostel for the price you pay. Rooms and bathrooms very clean, nice location right downtown - close to main features of Budapest as well as nightlife areas. Very friendly staff, helpful as well, will give you lots of tips on where to go. Only downside is lack of lockers, but the hostel itself is very secure, so wasn't really worried. Breakfast is small but like I said before... for the price you're paying, I'm amazed they provide breakfast at all! Had an excellent stay, would come here again.

Catarina hostel is dynamic because of the kind crew and friendly guests. Location is wonderful! The stairs towards the hostel are a 'step' to take, but it's worth it. You can ask the staff for nice advice if you are going sightseeing!
