The location was perfect. There is a metro station about 5 minutes walking distant where you can connect to other lines. Be aware though that there is a lockout period from 11am to 4pm. It wasn't a problem for me, but I can imagine it would be for some. The front door is also locked at 2am, again it wasn't a problem for me, but if you want to go out to party and stay out late, this may not be the hostel for you. There is also no alcohol allowed in the hostel. Overall a great stay.

Try not and shower first thing! Water pressure wasn't the best. I found as soon as you heard someone else turn on the tap you lost all water. Also the sink was in the room with the shower away from the toilet which was weird. Nice location, easy to get to from the metro.

Lovely place with a hotel-y atmosphere; good breakfast and helpful staff. Close to the metro, but quite far from the centre of the city - Montmartre is a good place to be though, if you don't mind 40 minutes rides to touristy places. The room was nice and clean, though the beds were not very comfortable. Overall a nice experience, would repeat.

Caulaincourt Boutique Hostel is a great option for price-conscious travellers! I managed to check-in early (1.40pm) because my room was ready. There is wifi in the room, but very weak for me (0.2Mbps) because my room was deep in. 3 power points in a room for 6pax. Noise can be heard from street at night. Only MAJOR problem was the WATER PRESSURE. It's shared between rooms (sink/shower water) which means...little to NO hot water at prime times such as 10pm-12am! Breakfast and security is great :)

We were given a free upgrade. We arrived at the hostel at like 7 am, and were shown to our room! This was greatly appreciated, and completely unexpected! We thought we would just be dropping our bags off and had no expectation of actually getting to a room that early. The room had a shower and sink in it. You needed to wait a while for hot water to reach the shower, but there was plenty of it when it did.

Ok hostel. Absolutely no atmosphere, since no commune space, and staff not promotion anything. No locker, very tiny kitchen. Not so clean, and no ladder to climb on the upper bed, making it very weird. Very good breakfast.

Location is great, really near a metro station and there are also supermarkets and stores nearby. Breakfast was great, too, abundant, also there's free bread at any time. A few problems: I think the rooms were not cleaned daily, the showers were too small, and the hot water flow was very irregular, there aren't any lockers in the rooms. I thought the common areas and kitchen were also too small.

Nice, friendly hostel. Great location, very close to Sacre Cour and the beautiful village of Montmartre. Area felt very safe and there were cafe's, patisseries and supermarkets in the same street. Free breakfast was good, held in the common-room/bar. Unfortunately only open in the morning. It would be a nice place to hang out, eat dinner and meet others at night if it was open. Small, but functional kitchen. Room had a small ensuite (shower and sink only). Hot water didn't work everyday.

A great choice overall, especially since it's one of the cheaper hostels in Paris. The décor makes it welcoming, the staff are always willing to help, and it's a really short walk from the Lamarck Caulaincourt metro station. The bathrooms could have been cleaner.

Best Hostel I've stayed at. Only problems were there was a 2am curfew and they also turned the WIFI off then. There wasn't anyway for guests to go, we were all asked to go to bed.

Me and a friend had a really good time at this hostel. The staff was friendly, the room was brilliant and it was a really great value for the money. Sheets and such are actually included, might be that it depends on the season whether they take extra fro it. It is right by Montemartre and has a nice neighbourhood. Not that far to walk most places. The only issue for some might be that there are not any lockers in the rooms, but it really is a lovely place and I deeply recommend it.
