we spent three night at Cecil and found it to be a good choice. Rooms a little small however the breakfast room and staff made up for it. Oh yes, the shower curtain could be a little longer to prevent the entire bathroom floor from getting wet during a shower. Thank you for an enjoyable sty in wonderful Athens.

Apart from the location this hotel has nothing to offer. We arrived late and got a room which still had the garbage from the people before in it. The staff however gave us a new room, which we definitely appreciated. Still, the overall stay was negative. The breakfast is really not worth trying! The bathroom is old and run-down with a missing shower curtain that when a leaking hand shower is added ends in flooding the bathroom. Whats more is the uncomfortable feeling that our room was showed to

Staff were very accomidating and helpful. the cecil is about 3 blocks from a main square where the nite view of the accropolis is breathtaking. Although the area looks run down we never once felt like we were in rough area as everyone was very helpful to tourists. The rooms were a good size and the 100 year old elevator is better that any I've been in.
