Not the cheapest one in Ljubljana but the location in "Metelkova cultural area" makes it up... :) Had a good time, good breakfast, nice staff speakin good english : )
A really cool concept and space, but I was disappointed with the big dorm room. It's basically an attic room with a ton of mattresses inches from each other. The locker I was assigned was broken and the 2nd bathroom in the room was out of order so the one everyone shared was filthy. The shower was also a light mist, no pressure. Knowing this, I would maybe stay somewhere else and just come check out the building for food and drinks and the tour of the cells instead.
Vibrant, exciting and friendly place to stay - I loved the artwork and the history of the place!

Exceptional hostel. Back packing around Europe and this is the best of the best. 5 min walk from train station (a little tricky to find) and a 10 min walk to main square. Highly recomend
The price is a bit steep to charge for Wi-Fi access ... felt very nickel-and-dimed in this hostel, but good location and bar makes it easy to meet people
The second time I stay at Celica, and is always amazing. The hostel is just perfect, in a great location few minutes from the centre, the staff is super friendly and knowledgable and the bar with outer terrace is just that one more thing that makes it one of my favorite hostels in Europe!
The Hostel with its neighborhood is very interesting also if it's quite far from the centre. The staff is kind and available, really excellent! I reccomand to everybody to sleep at least one Night there
Nice place in the city center.. well located and special to be in a place like this! 12 bed dorm can be a bit crowded and dirty, but also a fun experience. :)
Great place to stay. Fantastic, knowledgeable staff, very friendly, great cheap breakfast.
This hostel is a bit out of the city centre but if you need a quick get away to the station then it is perfect. It is very close to the station. It is extremely clean but a bit expensive and if you are in a large dorm then you will not be in a prison cell. I didn't see the prison cells while I was there because the tour was once per day and I missed it. You can still do a tour if you are not staying at this hostel. The staff are amazing but so are all Slovenian people. It is a bit expensive.
The hostel is conveniently located in walking distance to railway station and city centre. There are some alternative youth culture facilities in the same block.
Probably the coolest hostel I've stayed in :) Tuesdays is open mic/ concert night !! Very good location and very friendly staff. Only downside was the bathrooms and no wifi in rooms
Definitely an experience to have.staying in prison cells was definitely I did not expect to do during my travel in such a fun way.I wished to change rooms becuase found one really small n the staff was really kind to allow me.the staff was very helpful and sweet.Slovenians in general are amazing. The location was a bit out, but in a fun part of town and close to train/bus.met amazing travellers and had a fantastic time in Ljubljana.Definitely recommend this hostel for the experience and everythin
Celica is a good place, it has a good staff and a neat concept. Close to the train station but about 15 min walk to the old town center. It doesn't have a common room, more like tables in a restaurant. Please environment but not very easy to meet people. In a very alternative place in the city.
It has something for everyone.... Hammocks, shisha, comfortable beds, rave parties, all the normal stuff that doesn't usually go together
Very well organised and efficient hostel. Staff are extremely friendly. Not the best washing machines-a bit of a gross laundry room. Nice rooms.
Unreal location and concept

The hostel is in a near area of town and right near the train and bus station. The bathrooms weren't always clean and especially in the 12 bed dorm, the bathroom really stank. The common area is great though and there's an awesome club right around the corner from the hostel.
Fantastic hostel to stay in. We got a guided tour of the hostel, and there is much more to it than just a place to sleep. Interesting history and the prison cell rooms are very cool. Not too far from the city centre and plenty of alternative bars close by.
Good interior decoration. perfect location and easy to find. Clean bedroom and bathroom But a bit noisy at night as there's a bar downstairs
