The hotel (not a hostel) was recently renovated, and the accommodations were lovely!! Very clean, very nice! We had a difficult time finding it, but that was due to our GPS in the rental car not working more than the hotel being hard to find. Hostelworld gave us a GREAT price (I think we booked for about 65 euro and the lady at reception said that night would have been 120 euro just walking in!) Great locations with lots of restaurants and shops around.

Our stay was really comfortable, thank you. The only problem was that the heating was turned off during the day and it was really cold. The staff were really nice and gave us extra blankets, thank you.

Comfortable beds, clean room. Water pressure in the shower was a bit poor. Good hot breakfast, although I missed some fruit. It would have been nice to have wifi in the room as well, not only in the lobby and breakfast room. Overall a nice stay.

That was our first visit in Dublin and we were positive surprised of the Celtic Lodge. Very good location, close to all places we wanted to see in the city and bus stops. Even after coming back at night from Temple Bar area and after trying Irish alcohols we haven't got any problems with finding Celtic lodge :) Tasty breakfast served by very nice staff. Really friendly reception staff, especially girl with short hair, happy to help and always smiling. We definitely come back. Agnes and Magda

The staff is friendly, located 3 blocks from O'Connell St (Dublin's main st), & breakfast is amazing. I was not expecting a full irish breakfast, felt more like lunch. They're renovating the bathrooms; they gladly changed our 1st room because it smelled too much of paint. There's no elevator, but it's only 3 flrs. The only thing, they turn off the heat when you're out & early mornings can be chilly (winter). There are specific hrs that it's on, otherwise you call reception. Wifi is unreliable.

If and when I return to Dublin I will be looking up the Celtic Lodge again. It is very affordable and comfortable and the staff are so friendly and will go out of their way to assist you in any way they can. Also having the free airport shuttle bus was very handy! My boyfriend and I have been travelling around for 2 months and basically were sick of sharing a room with randoms. We paid almost the same for what you´d pay in a hostel so it was definitely worth it!

Room was small but overall it was a great value. Staff was friendly, it was clean, close to the spire so its easy to find your way back on foot. The pub next door is awesome!!!

No wifi in the rooms. Overall we enjoyed it, however a lift would have been nice. Dragging our luggage to the third floor was not so nice. Complete Irish breakfast was great (and included in the tariff!) and the kitchen staff are really lovely and look after you. Maybe a bell at reception also - we were stuck trying to pay the bill at the end of our stay and late for the airport and we had to wait for the one person on duty to arrive.
