Staying two days in a twin room. Very small room with a bunker bed. Old interior but very clean. Showers and toilets where clean and good. Close to the center of the city, bus station and railway.
I would like to thank Declan and all the staff for being so hospitable. Andrew from Newfoundland.

Hostel is in a great location. Staff where welcoming. Rooms where small but we expected that. Room doors had to be locked all the time because draught from windows opened kept opening It. Our room had mould on wall, other room had water stains. Bathrooms where kept spotless, on our floor we had 2 toilets
Staff friendly and welcoming, central location in Galway. Got some great tips for going for dinner and goig out here! only downside: the atmosphere! This place needs a radio and maybe some organized events. It was dead quiet and guests werent talking.
Quite nice and decent hostel. Our twin room was really small and had just a small roof-light. No complains about that as they point this out on their web site, just to let you know and as a small minus on the "value for money"-side. Great location in the city center, go for it!
The public areas were nice, but the room was cramped and smelly. Cash was required up front for our 3 day stay. Breakfast area was not opened until 8:00am, too late for us.
Only there for one night. Was very cold in the rooms. Kitchen was excellent. Found free parking nearby but it was because it was the weekend.
the linen was dirty and the double room too small for the price
In this hostel everything is easygoing. Staff is friendly, the kitchen very well equipped, it's clean and it's quiet at night. When you are interested in some local knowledge you should not miss talking to the owner of the hostel.
good location, good pries, good staff, if i go to galway again, i will go to this hostel.

Nothing extravagant for the price, so definitely over priced but options are limited when you book late :/ It's a decent place, staff were nice.
Good location, friendly staff, well stocked kitchen, bathrooms weren't the best but no other complaints :)
Great location right by Eyre Square. Kitchen doesn't have a lot of cooking space and doesn't easily accommodate multiple groups cooking at the same time. Plenty of seating though. Free wifi in the common areas. Really friendly & talkative staff.
Very well managed. Loved the 'tour' of the place which was given to me when I checked in, made me felt really welcomed and got to know that place fast. Friendly staff :)
Pros: large common area with tv, dvds, and books large, well-stocked kitchen which is kept clean and organized excellent free breakfast centrally located Cons: cramped rooms (we're talking windowless and just barely fit the bed) smelly areas (while the whole place didn't stink, the entrance does smell horrible) no wifi in the rooms it got extremely hot at night Overall, not a terrible place to stay, and if you get along with the other people staying there I'm sure it could be fantastic.
Very quiet hostel definitely not good for meeting fellow travelers, small common room and a decent sized kitchen with a load of free food every day (cooked whole meals out of what was on offer sometimes) free coffee, tea, hot chocolate, milk and fruit all day with standard fare breakfast (cereal/toast) staff are friendly, helpful when asked, but otherwise mostly keep to themselves. book if you want a relaxing stay but otherwise not really worth your money considering the price of rooms.
Very nice hostel very close to the train/bus station and the city center. The girl at the reception was lovely and even promised to help me up the stairs in case I'd be too drunk to do so upon my return in the night ;). The facilities were absolutely good too. The only annoying thing was the steep price and the 2-nights booking requirement on summer weekends.
