Not out for $, the campsite is Pedro's home! Try the Temazcal, it's life-changing & free! The yoga tent is cool & the cenote in the back is fun for snorkeling & canoeing. It doesn't feel like "roughing it": hot outdoor showers, pristine dry toilets, and a kitchen, complete w/ gas stove and all cooking supplies -- go grocery shopping before arrival! Also bring bug spray! Beach is 100m away. Sian Kaan is 1km away. Cons: no locks on tents, generator works part of the day, 120 pesos to get to town.

I booked myself & husband into a large tent with beds. Upon arrival staff told us that they had given our tent away at 2pm as they thought we weren't coming, despite me booking over a week in advance & advising that we would be arriving at 5pm. Admittedly, our bus was late & we arrived at 6.30pm but the tent had been given away long before that. All that was left was a one man tent for the both of us at a discounted price. We left after two nights as it was too uncomfortable & not what I booked.
