One guy at the reception wasn't very polite, while the others were. We found it great that it is open 24 h/24, as it means that we had to ask to the receptionist to open the door - safer than if you just have the key of the front door. There was hot water all the time to have a shower, even if we had to wait like 5 minutes to get it. Bathrooms were also very clean. The only disappointing thig is that there isn't a proper kitchen to cook something by ourselves, so we spent much more money.

We booked a room of eight, which turned out to be a normal sized room with eight beds put in. This meant that we had very little room to move around the beds and were very squashed. Had we known this we would have booked two rooms of four. Ventilation at night was extremely noisy. No toilets in the room which is unusual even for a hostel. Especially when 8 per room!!

Pretty sure I got bit by something in the beds, came home with bite marks on legs and arms.

Very good location. No communal area though so difficult to meet other travellers. No kitchen. All in all, expensive and dirty.

Staff were very helpful, and the location was amazing. Close enough to be right in the centre but tucked away so you didn't get the noise from the Rambla and felt safer. Basic but clean, no hot water in the shower or lock.. But other than that could not complain! Breakfast was basic but did the job, and free internet/computer access was very helpful.

This is one of the worst hostels we've ever stayed in! + points: - very friendly staff - 4 computers with free internet, + free wifi on ground floor - lift - free lockers in rooms negative points - flea-ridden mattresses - room not cleaned once in the 3 days we stayed - no common room; only 1 sofa for whole hostel - kitched not open; can't even make a cup of tea as no cups available - breakfast of cheapest most terrible quality - towels not free contrary to what website says - sheets from 5pm

finding grafitti that is older than you under the top bed is always a historical experience. and sleeping in a room with only a small window for ventilation is also another experience at that. if it hadn't been for convenience and my lack of motivation to try and change I wouldn't have stayed here past first night.

The rooms are a little dirty and too hot, with almost no ventilation, and the beds are not good at all. It's pretty crowded and it has no kitchen. However, the location is great, the bathrooms and the breakfast are ok, it's a good deal for those who stay out late and go to bed exhausted.

It would be nice to have a place to fulfill our bottles with tap water for free, because Barcelona is a hot city. But apart of that, it's a nice place ^^

Good location, although there are many hostels in the area and a few more towards the east side of the Ramblas/Gothic quarter, which is better for night life. Staff did the bare minimum. Rooms didn't smell too great and if you're on a bunk bed it's very easy to bang your head on the ceiling. Free PC's are available but there's only 4 (with one of which broken) so you'll never get on one unless you queue for 20+ minutes. This is one of the cheapest hostels in the area, but for a reason.

The Hostel has got high potential only because of it's location. I'm just wondering why it doesn't invest into newer furniture which are more stable and not hang loose like paper in the wind. The equipment should be of better quality, so even bigger doorms could be comfortable. The service staff could be a bit friendlier but all in all, the price fot its central location ist good, just the qualitity could be better.
