I stayed at Central Backpacker King over New Years - it's a pretty small backpackers, but really friendly and homely. It's more like a house than a hostel - there's an awesome living room with a big tv, couches and free snacks! The hostel staff are beyond friendly - and there's always someone on reception who are happy to help you with anything. It's a good place to meet people as it's such a relaxed place. I had a lot of fun and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Location is perfect.

I absolutely loved this hostel! Very cute set up--very homey and open. The staff is very accommodating and attentive, and are always asking if you need anything, making coffee and tea, etc. The owner is also very helpful and let us check out 4 hours late. One of my favorite hostels I've ever stayed at! I would definitely recommend!

The place is easy to find due to being close to the bid bassilica. Super friendly lady runs the place. Very comfortable and clean. Great atmosphere. In the tourist district but only five minutes walk to the cheaper areas and close to most sites.

Good hostel but they gave us an apartment down town instead of staying in the actual hostel! But anyway the apartment was ok, it's just that we couldn't meet new people there!

I felt like I was visiting a friend for a sleepover more than a visit to a hostel! We were upgraded to a larger dorm for free. The staff are incredibly friendly, interacting with them was always a pleasure. The common area is so comfortable and a great place to bring back dobos torte from Cafe Gerbeaud, as you can have some of the free tea, coffee, or hot chocolate from the full kitchen the hostel lets you use.

Everything was really lovely, clean and well put together. Right in the centre of town and walking distance to most attractions. I had a great time in this hostel. The only downside is that there was no lock on our door. The hostel is always locked but any of the other guests could have come in at anytime. I never got the feeling that would happen though. The hostel is really great.

Great hostel. The owners are great people and they greet you with a shot and a smile. Short walks to all sights and 2 minutes to the metro. I will stay here every time I am in Budapest and recommend it to everyone heading there.

This is a chilled place and i very much enjoyed my stay. The location is good and just a heads up - budapest is beautiful, go there! The staff were always extremely helpful, and while breakfast isn't included there is is always tea, coffee and biscuits. I felt very much at home here, and i would definitely go back. staying in the 'down' season there wasn't a lot of people, usually that means no fun, but like i said, one of my favourite hostels.

The location of this hostel is practically in the heart of the city. During the weekends parking is free so you can leave your car just outside the building. Staff is fun and friendly. Also, a welcome drink awaits you there:) Rooms are clean and spacious. The room we owned was like a small apartment with a kitchen and a dining room. And what is more, it is cheap. Only 12 euros per night per person!

Great neighborhood, close to a major metro station with all the lines. Great restaurants in the area, and close enough walk to all the ruinsbars and many major attractions. Staff was very helpful/flexible when our flight got cancelled and we had to stay 2 extra nights. Had a problem with the keys on the first night but staff was very approachable and flexible. More computers would be helpful, or wifi in all the rooms.
